I really like it four stars because we could have used the diagrams in the instruction page when we were inside it trying to get the door pieces to go in the right spot. Put the door pieces together adjust the bottom to the short hole then put it inside the tent, place it and slide the short end to the longest hole. Overall it’s really well made roomy and attractive and for the price you can’t beat it. I may even install a stove jack into it. We’ll see.

Fantastic Tent. Very sapcious inside and made with quality material along with excellent stitching. Glad I bought it.

Pros: - Lightweight. - Best price to weight ratio. Cons: - Not water and weather resistant. - Packs very bulky. - Very poor rainfly design. First I want to begin with the positives about the tent and the company as a whole. I have a 3 person tent from NearZero for about a year now, I took it on multiple hikes and it withstood rainstorms and harsh weather. Its also very well designed and considered a real "ultralight" tent. Compared to well known expensive brands such as Big Agnes, the NearZero tent is relatively lightweight and inexpensive. Now having the perfect experience with the 3 person tent, I decided to buy a lighter 1 person tent from the same brand, making a mistake assuming it would be the same high quality. So the 1 person tent arrived, the shipping was fast. The first thing I noticed is how lightweight but bulky the tent is when packed, its roughly 20 inches long and 5 inches wide when packed. The stuff sack is huge with enough room for even my 3 person tent. The only way to store the tent compactly is to separate the poles from the rest of the tent. I suspect the size is so big because of the tent poles, the company probably reused the same poles from the bigger tent models, making the poles for the 1 person model incredibly long. In fact, its the same length as the poles from my 3 person tent, wich is roughly 20 inches. This huge packed size makes it very difficult to store and travel with. Even cheaper tents from chinese companies pack a lot smaller than this one. This problem could be resolved if the company would properly design a custom pole system for a small 1 person tent instead of lazily reusing the same long poles from larger models. Even though the seize is bulky and inconvenient, it can be compensated by the light weight of the tent. But what cannot be compensated, is the weather resistance of the tent, which im going to talk about now. The overall design of the tent and its form isnt spacial, its not custom designed or anything, its just a copy of the same design you can see on a lot of chinese tents. The tent is very tall and narrow when installed (even taller than my 3 person tent!) making it act like a wind sail and very unstable. But the biggest design failure in this tent is the rainfly. The rainfly for this tent is a half baked afterthought. It doesn't go all the way down to the ground. Its so short, that even when its fully streched out on the tent, it doesn't even fully cover the inner mesh cover, leaving a 2 inch gap between the "bathtub" floor and the rainfly. This design flaw makes the tent unusable even in small rain. The water would pour from the rainfly directly into the tent through the mesh gap. Beside all, the rainfly has only 1 tie node where the door is, thats it. You can't stake the rainfaly to the ground and reinforce it from the sides, especially on the back of the tent there are no tie nodes or ways to properly stretch the rainfly, making the back and sides of the rainfly wobble in the wind and let water in. It's unacceptable for a 250$ tent to have such poor water repelling qualities, the company decided to go full cheap out lazy mode when designing this model. This failure could be avoided if the company would be a little bit more mindful about the design and make the rainfly just 2 inches longer and add some tie loops, thats it! I contacted the company about this issues before writing this review, and got no response, so the customer service is very poor as well. This is the lightest tent you can get for the price, but in my opinion, it still isn't worth it, because of the flaws I mentioned. Better to go with a more expensive properly designed tent from Nemo or Big Agnes. Or buy a much cheaper chinese tent (which will be a bit heavier) but at least it will have tie nodes on all sides and be water resistant as it should be, and still pack smaller. Overall im very disappointed with the product. Now in order to make the tent a little bit rain reaistant, I have to sew by myself custom tie loops to the rainfly. For anyone wishing to buy this tent, I recommend to look at something else.

It’s a tent! It kept me dry, it’s easy to setup, the zippers work. Stake it down properly and it’s just fine. I put it through its paces with a decent storm on its first adventure. And a bear was kind enough to not eat me through it in Big Bend. If you’re going to be in a heavy rain, stake out the rain fly vestibule area properly and you’ll be fine. I didn’t so a little mist was noticeable. I could’ve easily just staked it flush to the tent and had no issues.

Loved this tent bigger than a ten person Coleman tent worth the money super easy to set up.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this product, but I was pleasantly surprised with both the quality and the thoughtful design. Weighing in at a hefty 66 lbs it is not a backpacking tent. It comes in a large bag made of the same oxford as the tent, and then again inside a larger PVC bag. Aftertaking it back down it fit into both without much effort. The included pump needed about 150 strokes to fully inflate, but once done it stayed inflated and was quite rigid and strong. The floor is reinforced with PVC and is the most robust tent floor I have seen. All hardware and lines were included, though I upgraded the tent pegs to ones with handles that are much easier to get back out of the ground. Lots of wndows provide ventilation and thjere is both a stove vent and an ac vent provided. Little details like the straps to hold open the window flaps are well designed and work easily. If you are looking for space, ease of use, and durable quality this tent will meet your needs.

We attached it to our 5th wheel to use along side our awning. We had to pull in the awning when the wind, rain, and lighting came, but the Kelty stayed up and kept the table dry. It was so strong and nothing harmed it! We are so glad we purchased it for our trip. Our awning would have been toast!

These are the best! Went camping at Big Sur California and these stakes held beautifuly. We got caught setting up in a storm with 60 mph winds and the tent held up because of these stakes. Our canopy didn’t fair so well and it didn’t have the stakes, just straight metal ones. I highly recommend keeping them in camping gear for emergencies

Bought the tent for an upcoming backpacking trip and I love how compact and lightweight it is. But upset that it arrived with a hole in the screen :( too many mosquitos where I’ll be so that’s not going to be helpful

I got this camping tarp with zippered pu windows to use over our little kiddie pool. It's great for adding some shade to keep the pool water cooler, and to keep the sun out of my eyes when it's too strong. Clever idea to add windows to the tarp, not sure if it's a design that's always been out there, but it's the first time I've seen it. I like it a lot. Quality is alright. The tarp itself is a good thick fabric. I wish the zippers for the windows glided smoothly. They are more scratchy, and I do worry a little that it could mean the zipper quality is not the best. But, neither of the zippers for the windows have broken or given me issues opening or closing. The pu for the windows seems like good quality, there aren't any rips or holes in them, so I'm happy. The guy lines are thick and really durable. I love the bright green color, I've already decided to keep them in my gear bag to replace some older guy lines. The bright color is perfect for nights, no more tripping. Glad I got it. It works for what I got it for, and I hope it lasts for a few years.

This tent is a lot more roomy than what you might think from looking at the photos. I would say that it could accommodate two campers and their gear very comfortably, three people would be a snug fit but doable, I think four people would be pushing it unless they were small adults or young children. The construction, design, and number of tie down points make this tent very stable and secure to the ground. Even with the less than optimum stakes that are included, this tent should hold up under fairly breezy situations. Upgrade the stakes and I would not be afraid to ride out a significant storm in this tent. On the inside there are pockets on each side, a pass through opening for electrical cords or tubing, and a hook on the ceiling. The screened windows are split into an upper and lower section allowing better control over the amount of ventilation you need. There are also a couple of vents at the top that you can open or shut up tight. There are two doors with awnings on each end, but you only receive two poles for the awnings so you can choose which side to use them on, or you can purchase/make poles so that you can use both awnings at the same time. The awning is nice to set your boots or other gear under to afford it some protection, without bringing it into the sleeping quarters. Or, it is nice for sitting in the doorway drinking your morning coffee when it is raining outside. I like this tent a lot, but if I'm expecting heavy rain I will add a tarp over the top for added protection, it has not leaked so far, but I have not had it out in extreme weather yet and I like to have more than one barrier between me and the elements just in case. Waking up in a damp tent, or with water dripping down on a cold night is no fun at all. Also, getting your gear wet can ruin a fun camping trip. So, since this is the type tent you might often use to stay at a camp site for a long weekend, or even for a long vacation, best to be prepared. * Update: I have left this tent set up in my backyard since my initial review, and although it has not rained here in a couple of weeks, when I checked the tent this morning the floor was damp. I did not use a ground cover, and so I'm not sure if the moisture came from condensation, or up from the ground. I just wanted to pop in for this quick update and I will follow up if I figure out what went wrong. I suspect condensation from the humidity in the air since I left the tent fully ventilated all day, and the temperature dropped significantly during the night. So, I am not changing my rating, because this is just a fact of life when camping in rapidly changing conditions.

Larger than I expected. Easy for 1 person to put together. Perfect for what I need to use it for! My 2 year old loves to play in it while it's set up in the living room. Hopefully once we have it outside this weekend he will stay in it as well so he doesn't get a sunburn! I haven't tried to refold it & put it back in it's carrying bag, but I don't think that's gonna be an easy task.

I've used it twice now and no complaints!! It is a great $ value compared to others like it! Once it's rolled out and ready to be inflated, it takes about 1-2min to fully inflate using the pump provided. I've tried using a battery-powered inflator and it didn't seem to be working, or not fast enough for my liking. I'm a female and can do this by myself. The hardest part is rolling up and securing the curtains by myself. Ok so... WHAT THE DESCRIPTION DOESN'T TELL YOU: * This tent is about 12ft x 9ft x 6ft. I'm 5'2" and the only place I even come close to hitting my head on the ceiling is in the corners. Love the height! * I bought this tent specifically for the skylights bc I want to see the night sky. I compared it to other tents and this was the best price for the features I was wanting. * One side, I used as the front, has a door and 2 windows. All 3 also have mesh vents so you can completely close them or use the mesh screens for good air flow. The window mesh vents don't have zippers. * Right above the door is a vent that you prop open. (I'll come back to that). * One side, I used as the back, is one big door. Great selling feature! It has a zipper that divides the "wall" that you unzip and it be completely open. (Think of a 3-sided room). It also has a mesh screen so you can use that side for good airflow. You can kinda see it in my last picture, on the left side. * The back side also has a very small cover/porch with a guyline. * Both sides have windows that are exactly the same. You can completely close them down so no one can see in, open then up to mesh, or only use the PVC windows. This was also a HUGE selling point for me! Very versatile!! WHAT I DON'T LIKE: *All the windows and doors have to be rolled up from the outside!! So if you have the mesh open or the PVC windows, and it starts raining or you want privacy, you have to go outside to unhook the doors and secure it. I looked at other tents and it looks like most tents are made this way. I'm not sure why. If you know, please tell me! * It doesn't come with a rainfly or a footprint/floor tarp for protection. I know most tents don't come with a footprint but most do come with a rainfly. * My tent's ceiling windows had a film on them which made it hard to see clearly. If anyone knows how to remove the film, please let me know! * On the inside, the airtubes have a covering that sewn in to the tent, but has an accessible zipper. I'm not sure what it's for. If you know, please tell me. * The description says "all season" and water proof but in another place it says 3 season and not used for heavy rain - use a rainfly. This is confusing, Yoleny! I used it and it was raining just s little and did just fine - no leaks. * It didn't come with a hammer. ADDTL SELLING POINTS: * It comes with its own carrying bag, stakes, extra guylines, patch kit, and manual air pump that shows you if you've put the right amount/too much air. It also comes with curtains for the skylight if you want privacy or to block the sun. * It deflates in seconds! * It has a heavy duty built-in floor. You can see it's grey in my pictures. * It has 2 air valve ports on the right side corners, right of the door. One is on the front corner and one on the back corner. You access them from the outside through velcro ports. * To the left side, it has ports for a portable AC unit so you can use this tent in the summer! * In the roof, it has a place where you can cut to put in a stove so you can buy a camping stove and use the tent in the winter! You can see the port, the grey square, in my last picture. * This tent is 6ft high, it's not low to the ground. (In come back to that). * It has 2 pockets on one wall so you can store things like your cell phone or flashlights. Just don't roll up your tent and forget they're there!! FYI/SIDE NOTES: Back to the air vent: I went camping over Thanksgiving 2024. One night was really cold and I used a portable butane stove to cook inside and use a stove "radiator" to knock the chill out of the air. I soon noticed condensation building up in the tent. I immediately stopped using the stove but it was too cold to open any more vents. The next morning, the condensation had frozen and there was a thin film of ice on the walls and ceiling. I wiped it off using a towel so it didn't get my bedding and stuff wet. So the vent didn't vent as much as I'd thought it would. The next evening, this time I left the vent and door open and didn't have any issues. The outside temp was much warmer though. (Don't knock me for inexperience). Back to the height of the tent: The site was pretty bare of trees and shrubbery (the very first picture). I staked down all the places and used all the guylines. That night, the winds were about 17mph (very last video). I had to move stuff away from the walls bc it was knocking stuff over. (I had previously watched a YT video with a couple that has an inflatable tent and when the winds got so bad they couldn't stand outside, they packed up. Before they could finish, the wind was completely pushing the tent over). I stepped outside and some gusts pushed me off my footing. It was a little scary. I checked the weather and the wind was going to get up to 25mph, so I decided it was best to pack up. The video doesn't do it justice. The video starts out pitch black but you can hear the tent in the wind. Then my outside motion sensor light triggers and you can kinda see how much the tent was moving. So be mindful if it's going to be windy and there's no cover where you're camping. ALL IN ALL - A definite buy, most bang for the buck!! I'll update my review the more things come up. Definitely recommending!
