We bought this tent as our home on the road as we moved across country from Oregon to South Carolina and it held up to the job great! The first night was a bit of a learning experience figuring out how the poles go together but once you've figured it out, it's quite easy. It's a color coordinated system so what's you've figured it out, it's very simple. It does take at least two people though as it's a very large tent! It withstood multiple thunder and lightening storms with downpours of rain and it never leaked at all! I really like the design of the top and that it's not the normal A frame tent because the shape of the roof helped with the storms. It's also tall enough for regular adults to stand in and even my 6+ foot tall son was able to comfortably stand and move. It withstood all my kids and two 100 pounds American Bulldogs for a week and a half, setting up and down every night, with tons of storms and was great! Best tent I've ever bought!

This hammer is solid! Came with a lanyard but I took it off and added cord to make it more visible. Can’t wait to use it in a few weeks. I see no potential issues.

We needed a tent for a camping trip and I wanted to try the blackout style tent that blocks out almost all the light, so we ordered this one. Set up was easy and the quality of the tent is that of Coleman or Ozark trail tents. It rained the second night of our trip and the fly did repel the water but due to small pin holes in the base of the tent we later discovered, water got into the tent and our sleeping bags got wet. This I believe was a quality control issue with the manufacturing. I was able to patch the pin holes and we didn't have anymore water issues. Also we had issues with the main zipper being hard to zip the entrance up, I thought I was going to rip the tent trying to pull the cheap zippers to close up the tent. These issues is why I'm giving it 3 stars. This would be a good tent to set up for the kids in the backyard but not for serious camping.

This is a very well thought out and complete package. The stakes hold tight in both harder clay based soils and in softer sand based soils. The kit not only includes the stakes but also a very convenient carrying case and two driver heads that easily attach to any cordless drill. They make installation and removal of the stakes nearly effortless.

Nice tent even with the rain fly issue . Hope it was just a bad stitch in that area, used on 3 more trips and had no issues

  • Today is the first chance that we have had to use this. It is an extremely windy day and it is holding up beautifully. It was very easy to put up, it is very sturdy and it is withstanding a very strong wind. I am very pleased with this product.

I was pretty excited to get these screw in ground anchors from Togxfuni for an upcoming event I will be hosting. I will be utilizing a 10x20 tent to serve food and drinks from and I wanted a better way to anchor the tent in case there is wind or bad weather. In preparation of said event I selected the location of the tent and decided to test out these anchors beforehand. What I discovered is that these anchors are better as augers in hard soil, and what I ended up with were several shallow holes about 3" in diameter. After struggling for about 10 minutes to actually get one of these anchors to turn into the ground and hold I went over to my leaf and grass composting area where I know the soil is much softer. I was able to get an anchor into the ground without pulling all the soil out of the hole. So, to sum up, hard soil is a no go unless you want to start new homes for chipmunks. These are designed more like augers for boring rather than anchoring. My other issue with these anchors is the construction of them. There are only three sloppy welds that hold the spiral flite to the shaft. The top handle weld is also pretty sloppy on some of the anchors so you have to be mindful of how you align the drill adapter/installer piece because it is easily misaligned. Also, this set of 12 anchors came with a single length of orange rope that is maybe 20' long. ?? Overall, I think these would work okay in soft soil (with no rocks). Construction is "iffy" but I'm sure they will hold up. ⭐⭐⭐

This tent is lovely. It’s so easy to set up and take down. It gets great airflow and the floor Velcro’s out so you can hose it down. So far it’s been through heavy rain and wind and below freezing temperatures but still is going strong. It’s also tall enough to stand up in. Would 💯 recommend.

This tent held up amazingly through 25mph winds and a severe thunderstorms with a tornado warning! We had very little rain get in considering how the wind was. The net door would not close. It was too tight. That's why I gave it 4 stars. We had 4 adult size cots with room to move about. We did adjust the cover on one side and it held in place much better.

Delivered today. Initial setup was pretty straight forward and easy. Roughly 30 minutes, which I think is pretty quick for not ever pitching this style tent before. Probably get faster the more the process is repeated. Tent material is of good quality. Post could be sturdier, but it will do for now. Only design flaw I see is there is only one zipper per door. If the door is shut, you gotta pull from the bottom, witch is quite a reach when you're inside. I could potentially get over this due to there being "Velcro" patches on the door flap. We'll see how they hold up after use. 4-8 person tent allows plenty of room to stand and even walk around inside. I am 5'11" tall for reference. Initially, I am pleased with this product. UPDATE: I have had this tent for about a year now and have used this tent on several trips in all weather. Snow, rain, wind, and summer heat. This tent has kept me dry in wet weather and warm when using either a stove or propane heater.

Unfortunately, I have to return this tent because it's just a little too large of a footprint for my needs. Make me sad, because it's a very nice little tent for the price. I especially like the design of the rod pockets being continuous over the top of the tent; there's no break into two pockets for each rod. Makes it much easier to setup, since the rods feed through continuously without having to start the end into the second pocket at the top (the way most tens like this are). Very easy to fold up and replace in bag (which I had to do to send back! lol). Can't vouch for any outside durability, since I only tried setting it up inside a room of our house. Also love the little carry-strap on the outside of the bag. 😊

I don’t like to recommend anything until I’ve tested it, but after the thunderstorm we went through Saturday night I feel like I can weigh in a little early on this one. In short, if you are considering a roof top tent (RTT) then the Smittybuilt RTT is a fantastic tent at a reasonable price. Just after dark Saturday night a big ole red cell formed on the radar and just sat right on top of us and dumped nearly 2” of rain in the next 2 hours along with some significant winds. Since it was so early in the evening and we weren’t ready to go to bed yet, we just moved our chairs into the bottom “annex” room, ate our supper and had a few beers while watching the lightning flash outside. Later on when it slacked up a little, we crawled on up in the tent and called it a night. Not a drop of water in the tent and even with the strong winds everything stood strong. It’s hard to find a tent that is truly waterproof, but this one did very well and we slept like babies, high and dry. The only 2 areas I’ve seen that need to be improved after spending almost a solid week sleeping in this tent are: 1 - Needs a little thicker memory foam mattress. It has a 3” mattress, but I can still feel the hard floor of the tent slightly when I’m on my side. I’m going to add another 1.5” memory foam pad underneath it or maybe even a thin air mattress. I think that either will solve the problem and won’t effect the setup and storage in anyway. 2 - The ground stakes for the annex are junk. I’ll go buy some heavier duty stakes to replace them. In summary: Well made, easy to set up, lots of features and user friendly.

Bought after previous camping trip, tested at home (fine) ... But when at the camp site a few months later it would not lock. Duct Tape required (seen in photo). We Really needed this pole length for middle of the tarps! Of course I'm too far past the return period.... Grrr. Is a Fail.

The Poray Screen House Tent Pop Up Sun Shelter comes in a nice nylon carry bag. Included is the support poles, pole brackets, rope, and metal stakes. What it doesn't come with is instructions for putting up the shelter. I kid you not. Nothing. The carry bag has instructions for removing the tent from the bag and putting it back into the bag. Nothing else. I took off a star because it was not fun having no idea how to put up the shelter. I had to go to the product description on whatcampingtent.com to blow up the photos in the hopes I could figure it out. Thankfully, the photos had enough information to be able to figure out how to put in the support brackets and support poles. It takes two people to get the shelter assembled and it takes quite a bit of time. The quality of the shelter is very nice. It looks like a tent sitting in the yard. It provides safe shelter and shade for my baby chickens. The zippers work easily for entry into the shelter. It seems to be quite secure with the ropes and stakes. I did add bricks to the bottom trim for extra security. I like the large size. I actually got this shelter for the purpose of acclimating our chicks and turkey poults to the outdoors for when they are old enough to be pastured with the flocks. It seems very secure and doesn't sway too much in the breeze. I trust the shelter completely to keep the babies safe. We don't have any predators other than hawks, so the shelter is a safe option for us. I am still peeved that it didn't come with instructions. For the price, it is an ok value. It serves our purpose.
