This is a large, 13'x9' ground cloth that can be used either single layer under a very large tent, or doubled under a 7'x8' tent, as shown here. It has both loops and grommets at each of the 4 corners and also two more midway along the long sides, which is a very handy feature, making this tarp easy to use and multi-purpose. It could be used as an emergency shelter or for minimalist camping. The tarp/footprint kept the tent floor dry on wet ground, which means that it served its designated purpose. It comes in a stuff sack, along with a bag containing 6 stakes. It's a very useful and versatile addition to my family's camping gear.

I thought I ordered the canvas one, but apparently I got the lightweight hot tent. It folds really really small for how big it gets. It is definitely waterproof and the other day we had 60mph wind gusts and I was so worried it'd fly away but it stayed firm. I just had to tighten the straps a little the next day. I haven't put a stove in it yet but I am very confident I could live in this over the winter in Idaho. One of my gripes is I wish the had ground flaps on the doors. It helps with ventilation but when it gets cold I definitely don't want a 2 inch opening on the bottom on the one side. Would recommend, this tent really is the tits!

This fly did exactly what it was meant to do. This not only keeps you dry in the wet weather, but it can help keep the wind off you in the cold weather. Plenty of coverage. I love the extra guylines in the center for that added support. I am glad that this is the fly I chose to purchase

Just what I was looking for: - 2-person tent (with doors on both sides) - Lightweight (4.3 lbs) - Double wall (no condensation inside tent) - Dark green color (to blend with nature) - No see-um mesh to keep the bugs out - Less than $100 Really pleased with this tent! It was hard finding a tent that had all my requirements listed above but I finally found it with this Bisinna. I bought the Bisinna 5x7 footprint to help protect the flooring and it fits perfectly. The tent has a plastic hook at the top to hang a lantern and 2 triangular mesh pockets on the inside-corners to stash your phone or other items you want to keep handy. I tried backyard-camping to see how it would hold up. We had an extra foggy night with NO condensation issues inside! Nothing worse than trying to stay warm and dry in your tent then rubbing your arm against the inside wall while you sleep and getting all wet. I was considering a cheaper single-wall tent but glad I decided to go with the double-wall instead. Very happy with my purchase and would highly suggest it for anyone wanting a solid tent at a good price.

Great product for what I needed...a porch playdate in 60-degree weather. Looks beautiful, roomy enough for 3-4 to sit inside. I imagine I will get some good use out of this for light backyard camping. Seems well-built enough but I have no idea if it will be good for anything more rugged (not a camping expert by any means). Footprint is big, about 8' square and it's probably also about 8' tall but much of that is sloping so not much headroom really. Overall, a great purchase that made for a socially-distanced kid's birthday special.

  • I love this tent. It was relatively easy to set up, after watching some “how to” videos. The first day we set it up was a bit challenging because of the wind, but once we got it up, it held up pretty well (even with the wind). The next day we set it up in the morning when the wind was calm; we got it up very fast with no problems. It stayed up the entire day without having to readjust. Very good product: light weight fabric where the sand can be brushed off easily, the poles are nice and sturdy, and the bag is nice and big to repack it back in. It even comes with a sand shovel 😊 Very happy with the product!

I have an E-Z UP style canopy that I use sometimes at the race track when my grandson is running his micro sprint. These canopies are pretty expensive, so it’s a good idea to keep them staked down when the wind is blowing. I have been at race tracks when a sudden gust of wind came up and several canopies started doing their Mary Poppins impression. When the canopies came to earth, they usually got damaged to say nothing of what they landed on. For that reason, I always to try to stake my canopy down as securely as possible. The stakes in this kit should do the job. Basically, these stakes are fairly standard lag bolts that you can find in a hardware store or home center. Unfortunately, the 12-inch length is not that common, so a kit like this makes it easy. Plus, it comes with a hex driver bit and storage bag. Also, each stake has a metal flat washer and a rubber washer under the hex head. As noted, these stakes are 12 inches long, as indicated in the whatcampingtent.com description. However, the same description lists their diameter as either .31 inch or .4 inch, depending on where you look. The actual diameter is 3/8 (.375) inch according to my calipers, so plan accordingly if you want to order these. I have successfully used stakes just like these with my canopy, so I expect that these will work just as well and I think they are fairly priced.

I'm 72 and had no problem setting up this tent. We came home after a bad storm and it was completely dry inside. It's fantastic! It easily went back in the storage bag...

While Sptingbar is an American company they out sourced this tent manufacture to China. Mine has excellent quality when received. Only a spring retention cable inside one of the poles wasn’t installed correct. 5 minutes to find a pair of long needles pliers had it fixed. Fabric and stitching were excellent on my tent. I setup the tent and am very happy with it. Spacious, sturdy and easy to setup. I have a bad back so I was worried about the weight, but the weight is split between the tent and poles, which are in separate bags. 25lbs for the poles and 55-60 for the tent. The canvas bags are great. Even though the tent weighs what it does, the bags many handles made it easy to pick up. The storage bag is oversized so you don’t have to fight to roll the tent into the original size. I actually left a rug in my tent (forgot it) and still fit the rolled up tent in the bag. Update: we’ve camped in this tent several times now. It takes me about 30 minutes solo to erect. We love it! I’ve tried for years to get my wife to camp and she would usually last 1 night and be miserable. The first time out in the springbar, she actually asked if we could stay a 2nd night! She is now a happy camper and I’m happy too. I highly recommend. My wife said “it’s very cozy”

I'm a humanitarian and disaster photographer and I recently bought this for a trip to Haiti. I usually carry compact mosquito nets and rig them up on walls, but I thought there might be a better solution for what I do. I wanted to give some random thoughts, in no particular order. If you want the short answer and save yourself some reading, then know I would recommend this 100%. It was a great investment, and I expect it will stand up to much travel over the years. Buy with confidence. If you're 6'3" or above, though, that changes my recommendation a tiny bit. Read below for my comments. -Tent setup takes literally seconds. Really nice to have such a quick setup. -Tent breakdown takes about fifteen to twenty seconds. The first couple times I had to carefully read the instructions to make sure I was doing it correctly. When in compact form, the tent is very light and compact. It was easy to pack it in my large duffel bag. Watch a few videos on Youtube and practice tent setup and breakdown before you travel so you get the hang of it. I figured it out on my own, but the added confidence of watching a few instructional videos would have helped. -I'm 6'5" and 225lbs. I fit in this thing, but barely in length. My head rests up against one end, and the ends of my toes touch the other end. If you sleep a little curled up (and I do), this thing will be long enough. If you sleep straight like a board and like to really stretch out all night long and not have anything touching you, and you're 6'3" or above, this may be a deal breaker. Again, I'm 6'5" and it didn't bother me. But if you don't like things touching your toes, and you're a huge person, this may be bothersome. Also, the idea of this isn't to be a huge tent around you. It's more like a casket, meant to be snug. -I was able to put my sleeping pad, sleep sack, and Thermarest pillow inside the tent. There was plenty of width in the tent, and I'm a pretty wide person. When I got back home my small dog crawled in it and I think we could almost sleep in there together if we got real snuggly. -The tent also goes on top of things, like crappy bug infested third world mattresses. I did this in Haiti too. I was worried I would wake up others around me if I moved a lot, but the floor of the tent isn't too crinkly or loud on top of mattresses. I didn't test the waterproofness of the floor but trust that it would hold up to a little water if it needed to. -This is not a true tent. If you're outside and it rains, you'll get wet. If you add a ground floor or tarp underneath and rig up a rain fly, you could get by with it as a summer tent. While the bottom does appear to be waterproof, the fabric is relatively thin. If I used this outside on rocky ground or gravel, I'd definitely want a tarp underneath it! -The zippers allow you to get in on either side of this, which was really nice depending on how my sleep setup was arranged. The zippers grabs themselves are a little loud, especially in a quiet room at night. The zipper grabs meet on a certain point of the zipper line, and when you move they bang against each other a little. They make some noise as you move around. It never bothered anyone else that slept around me, but if a roommate was a super light sleeper, it might wake them up. This was really the only negative I could find at all. And it wasn't really that bad at all. If you're mostly sleeping by yourself, or with some space between you and roommates, this isn't a concern. -The mosquito netting is really effective. I don't know technical specs, but the netting is fine mesh, and it kept out literally everything, including no-see-ums or whatever those tiny little bugs are. Not sure about fleas, but I didn't have any bites overnight of any kind when I was in this thing. I'm confident it'll keep out anything that poses a threat to me while sleeping. -It was hot in Haiti, and this tent really didn't retain heat at all. It did knock down a little bit of the fan speed overhead, but I didn't feel like it affected the warmth around me. This was really important for me as I mostly travel to developing countries closer to the equator. I did NOT want to add heat to my sleeping arrangement and was thrilled this tent did not. -This traveled well in my checked bag. It has some flexibility, even in it's most compact size. If this even makes it through a year of my travels, I'll keep replacing it. (I hate taking anti-malarial tablets). I'm headed to Sri Lanka, Togo, and Peru in the coming months, and if this tent breaks or poles snap expect me to write an update and change my review! -When I store this, I think I'll not fold it up into the most compact size. I'll probably store this in the larger, circular size. I'm worried in the most compact form long-term storage might bend the poles over time. Just a hunch. My overall recommendation is to purchase this. I travel to countries with zika, chikungunya, malaria, and other mosquito-borne illnesses. This takes up little room in my checked bag (I think it would fit in a carry on too), sets up quick, and lets me sleep with confidence. No more setting up mosquito nets at midnight in dark rooms. Or getting tore up with bites when I sleep in large rooms on concrete. When I hit purchase on whatcampingtent.com I was a little concerned about price. But honestly, after using in Haiti during Hurricane Matthew response, boy am I glad I had this with me. Great piece of kit that I'll keep traveling with for a long time. Buy with confidence.

I'm so happy with this tent. Its easy to assemble, even I can do it by myself in 5-8'. It is very small when its dissembled, like small handbag. I can bring anywhere, beach, outdoor pool even i can build it in my backyard for my kids to stay away from sun.

The panels were easy to instal and I hope they will be able to withstand the wind and rain of the desert, but time will tell.

Update 2 - Never heard from Kelty warranty, do not buy this as they do not stand behind their products. --- Update: Lowering this to one star, it has been 48 hours and I have not heard back from Kelty since submitting a ticket for the broken pole after 2 uses. Will update review if they respond. ----- Love the tent but be aware and prepared to make repairs to the poles. Only had this tent for a month or 2 and the second time setting this up a pole connection has broken. Have submitted to Kelty and awaiting reply. If you buy, be sure to be prepared with some bungee cord or tape to make repairs on a trip!
