definitely a 2 person set up, but you can disassemble yourself. zippers are nice, the patio has 2 doors that zip together at the middle and each door has a zipper at the bottom. the door to the actual tent is a single door with a screened window on the other side. it was a fairly simple set up your typical fiberglass poles, from one corner to the opposite, and the porch has one pole that arches over the door and down to the front two steaks. easy enough to fold as long as you can get it the right size to fit in the bag. it can definitely fit 4 people comfortably, 3 if you prefer more personal space, and the patio was very spacious. I don't know how waterproof it is but it held air in while I was rolling it up and the material seemed pretty sturdy. the rain cover seems to be well engineered over the side windows, you should still be able to get some air through the side windows. I can't say the whole patio space would stay dry in the rain but I think you can assume that just from the photos. overall a pretty simple tent I loved the patio feature and it was a good price for my budget. I was able to take it down by myself and wes really simple. I did need help setting it up tho. (not seasoned so I'm sure someone could do it by themselves if they wanted) GREAT TENT, LOOKING FORWARD TO CAMPING IN IT!
Let me be honest and disclose that I do not like camping. First time camping in 8 years, now with 2 small kids in tow, and I wanted something large, comfortable and most of all waterproof. This tent is very easy to set up, no off-gassing or smells like other new tents, the bottom is very sturdy and the rain fly goes all the way to the ground. We got dumped on with the rain our 3 days of camping and not a drop of water inside the tent. We did not do any additional waterproofing. We did place a tarp under the bottom to prevent any tears. My only complaint would be: I can see how maybe it would get hot quick if the weather was warm or the tent was not in any shade. We had high 70’s for the temp during the day (high 60’s at night) and it was perfect, did not get cold at night, but this tent has potential to hold the heat so keep that in mind. Delivery was fast. Materials of the tent are well above average especially for the price. We had ample room for 2 large queen air mattresses and a rug in the middle that would have fit a good size table if needed. Still not fond of camping but this tent definitely makes it easy to be comfortable and have a “home like” atmosphere while roughing it 😉
Not gonna lie. We use small tents as temporary housing for ducks and chickens. It works perfectly. Keeps heat trapped. Easy to wipe clean. So the value is great for what we need.
I love going camping with my family but being pregnant this summer gave me pause as I didn’t want to be waddling to the rustic toilets or popping a squat in the middle of the night with my new, ever-changing center of gravity. Thankfully- found this and can say it’s been one of my favorite purchases for our favorite type of vacation! This was SO easy to set up, provided the privacy needed, had a comfortable seat and enough space including height to do your business. Super easy to set up and take down, plus did not occupy a lot of space in the truck once it was folded up. I think there will be many occasions for us to use this beyond camping like tailgating and hunting.
So far it's shade and protection for our dog. Love the 2 windows....think he does too! Now to test it out on the beach. Needed sun shelter so we might sit on the beach a bit with our dog. We shall see. No complaints . Yet.
It's a good size. Mine basically looks like the picture. There's some missing black out causing the sides to look like stars in the dark sky. My zipper is weird and I fear it might break prematurely. I've used it twice for winter camping. The first time I woke up to a river running though the tent. So I can safely say it could use some improvement on the waterproof side of things. I needed a new tent in a hurry I probably should have shopped a bit more
I spent a lot of time thinking about buying this tent because I was trying to justify the price point and there wasn’t many reviews with photos, but I’m SO GLAD I went with this. I absolutely LOVE this tent and how well it fit the aesthetic I was going for. Ir also kept us nice and cozy through the night. You can open up three sides of the tent and there’s a place to attach a lantern at the top of the tent. It perfectly fit our queen sized air mattress with just a little bit of leeway for access to the pump. We zipped up the door in the middle when we slept and it gets pretty warm in there and there isn’t much ventilation. If it was hot at night, I’m not sure how comfortable it would be because you might have to sacrifice a bit of privacy on the screen side of the tent to get better ventilation. There’s probably workarounds you can do about this though. During the day we rolled up the walls to get a breeze going through the tent. Keep in mind that I am not an avid camper by any means, and so I can’t speak on the durability of the tent especially since I haven’t experienced what it was like under any serious weather conditions. My only complaint is that I wish there was an actual layer for the door other than just a screen door. We had to rely on the outer layer of the tent to completely it. I would still buy 100% buy this tent again despite knowing that though and it isn’t too much of an issue for me. Also, I wish it came with more poles so that we could have all of the awnings up at the same time.
This was not cheap, so the expectation is perfection, especially with the wall integrity. Fresh out of the box & we have not one, but 2 holes in the tent, both about halfway up the walls (tent was first opened on a new double thick tarp larger than itself, this was a manufacturing issue) this should have been caught before it was sold. We also had to mess with the stakes at the front of the tent to be able to zip the screen door zippers up without there being enough tension to cause damage, this caused the floor to be a bit loose so I don't think it's supposed to be that way. When it rained we had about a gallon of water enter the tent. The floor seems truly waterproof, but apparently not the entire tent... this may be a zipper issue, none of the items against the walls were wet so the walls also seemed waterproof. Positives: although there was water that came in it worked to keep us dry and warm. No plastic/bad smells when first opening the tent. The airflow in this tent is fantastic, so there wasn't humidity buildup or sweat/heat-induced irritation even in 90°. It's very easy to set up with color coordinating & sturdy poles, fit our 1 queen mattress perfectly with room for storing everything in the other half of the tent, & the poles all have 2 metal cordage inside - not simgle plastic cords - so they should last a long time! Side note if you need to lock your tent: The zippers have easy to grab plastic cords, not the big metal clips with holes like most other tents we've had. Makes zipping easier, but hinders locking abilities.
I only found a few things I don't like about this tent. The tent isn't free standing, so you need to stakes it to get it pitched. I think in winter frozen ground this is going to be a problem. (the military tents I've used were two poles and you didn't even need stakes. The tent becomes a big light if you turn any lights on inside it and it kind of glows because it's transparent. The tent had some condensation inside but that is normal. Now, what I liked about this tent. The vestibule is really cool to cook in while your waiting out storms. The tent only weight like 3.5 lbs. The height is 39.4 inches at it's high point so you can sit up comfortable inside it. The seems are taped, to keep water out. The zippers are covered to keep water out. The gear pouch inside the door is a cool feature (but it should be on the other side of the door! The two top hooks for a cloths line to dry cloths or hang gear like my mini USB fan to keep it cool. The outside guy lines all have reflectors so you don't trip over them walking around at night with a headlamp on. Even the stakes are high quality and not just cheap metal pins. This tent survived a downpour and the inside was dry. I like this tent a lot, and I'm rating it a four out of five stars because it's a winner. Thank you! -Mike
These stakes are a great addition to my camping setup and are ideal for applications where extra strength is needed. In my case, I have an old VW Westfalia campervan that I attach all manor of awnings, tarps, tents, etc., and the Colorado winds do their best to blow everything down. I keep upping my wind strategy game to cope with the winds, and now with these "screw-in" tent stakes, I've reached a new level of strength. I was impresses on how well they screwed into the ground using my cordless driver, and also how quickly the stakes went into the ground. No pounding! It will be interesting to see how well they work in more challenging conditions where the ground is more rocky under the surface. But so far, I'm really liking this concept. I also like that the set came in a nice carry/storage case to keep all the bits together. I also like that these aren't the bright orange that are more commonly found on the tops of stakes, making for a more harmonious camp. They still glow in the dark to help me keep from tripping at night. Overall, cool tent stake concept that come in a nice case, glow in the dark, and are very durable. But don't forget the drill, as these would be no fun to screw in by hand.
Review of: **Eureka! Family-Tents Jade Canyon X** (6-person model) The Good: -Very easy to set up and they even have the water-proof instruction sheet sewn into the carrying case (if you need it, which you won't after setting it up the first time) -The pole joint connectors are labeled, making it easy to know which pole goes where -Poles have a really nice anodized orange finish - they look really cool and I suspect will hold up well -Easy to close up the window panels inside -You can leave the rain cover off and have a view of the night sky through the mesh top -The rain fly has color-coded webbing so you know which way to install it -Rain cover extends over the edges nicely to keep rain from dripping on the tent sides -The corners of the rain fly have little pockets to store the ropes to tie it down - much nicer than having the ropes get all tangled up or misplaced -I am 6-1 and can easily stand inside with room to spare The Bad: -One of the female clips on a bottom corner was slightly broken, but a little duct tape will keep it from not holding the male clip end -The tent is a little heavy, but not a problem for car-camping The Bottom Line: I'm really impressed with just about every aspect of this tent. It was very simple to set up (you can do it with one person if you need to), and one up, it is very stable and tight, no loose panels. The rain fly is great if you need to keep moisture away from the tent and it goes on and off very easily and quickly. You can get cheaper tents than this, but I don't think you're going to get the same quality as you'll get here with this Eureka Jade Canyon tent.
Ok I just opened the box and I had to write a review. I never review products but this tent is so amazing I have to put my two cents in. I was worried about other reviews reporting that there were holes in the netting and that it was difficult to erect. Let me say, I love this 10 and I can’t wait to head to Shenandoah national Park. I have your always use Coleman traditional tents with the bungee poles that you have to fish through the loops. It took me about 20 minutes to disassemble and have all of it packed back in the carry bag. It’s huge!!!!!! No defects. Checked all seams and everything was perfect. I could easily fit two queen size air beds or cots and have plenty of room for luggage. As of right now I am extremely happy with quality, fast shipping, ease of assembly, space (my car can probably fit inside) and height( no more bending over to get changed) After my camping trip I will let you all know how it holds up and how we do with August temps in the Shenandoah National Park. UPDATE: This tent was amazing. We spent five days at big Meadows campground in Shenandoah national Park. Again I put the tent up by myself in about five minutes. Not one zipper pulled on fabric or netting and I was with two impatient teenage girls. It poured rain one night with thunder and lightning and we had not one leak. The cross ventilation was perfect. The one thing that I really liked about this tent was the way the zippers are designed it is really impossible to catch any fabric. I can’t say enough great things about this tent. We used the divider and the teenage girls slept on one side with all of their teenage girl crap. And I had my car set up on the other side with my hiking pack and various other supplies and the tent was still very roomy. I am so pleased and it was such a delight over those old-fashioned tent poles that I booked two more camping trips for September. UPDATE: I had to update this review after our latest camping adventure late March early April to a barrier island off the coast of Ocean City Maryland. Severe weather conditions beach camping ocean front. Monsoon like conditions for 12 straight hours with 75 mile an hour wind gusts. Not one drop of water!! I am 100% honest and serious not one drop! During one of the 75 mile an hour gusts the front end of the tent took a little dip from up top in the center attachment but nothing an extra rope tethered to the fire pit couldn’t fix! When we woke up in the morning we found that 90% of our fellow campers bailed sometime in the middle of the night but we stayed toasty warm and completely dry with 10 completely intact and standing on all legs. I was a little skeptical about this rain fly but after what I experienced this past weekend I know this tent could withstand anything!
I actually got this for my hammocks for when we go tent camping. To go over top of us. It's nice and long and I was able to roll it back up and fit it back in the bag which is amazing because most the time I can't do that after I've taken something out of a manufactured bag. The bag is about two hands in length so it's not that big. It's easy to take along and it has all the straps that's needed to go with it. The tarp seems to be heavy duty. This is going to be great. I don't see any holes so there's no leakage problems.
First off, I have not camped in this tent. I've only set it up once to look it over real quick. The quality is typical One Tigris quality. All the seams are taped, the stitching looks great, and all together it is well made. It has more than enough room for one person and gear. I'm 6' and had plenty of room to spare on the head and foot end. It seems like a pretty good option, especially, considering the current discount. I'll update after I've taken it out camping and had it in the rain.
It's a small tent, super easy to set up and very light weight. I've used it twice now, once in cold weather (25°F) and in rainy conditions. In cold weather it isn't the best however it is a 50$ tent so. In rain it held up great! No leaks! Great air flow and not super noisy either. The tent stakes suck like most tent stakes. But all around an amazing tent for a backpacking trip with the homies
