I wasn't sure where the solar shower bag would hang for showering until I received the kit. The shower bag would hang from a tree, while the shower wand would string through either the opening at the top of the tent, or the side opening at the upper back. The tent is 6' 3" high, so the tree branch would have to be around that height or higher, or else you could hang the water bag around the trunk of a tree, or whatever you decide. A steel rope (or wire!) with a hook on the end is provided for hanging the bag over a limb or perhaps around the trunk of a tree. There is a picture in the listing showing the bag hanging on a tree trunk by the steel rope. The steel rope is 58" long and has a "buckle" for which to string the loose end and tighten with a screw to secure it to the tree. Screws and screwdriver included. You will see in the listing the instructions for hanging the water bag, and you'll see the wire rope. Unfortunately, the instructions in the listing are the only instructions for this kit, thus I gave this 4 stars, so if you buy this, you'd either refer to the listing or print the instructions, which is what I plan to do. As per the instructions in the listing, you either press and hold down the nozzle lever for your shower, or you can pop the nozzle lever up where it stays for a continuous flow. The water flows real well with a strong spray, but the lever is hard to press and hold, and a child would probably not be able to press and hold the lever, which is actually a good thing, for no one wants their child to play around and waste the shower water, and parents help their kids shower anyway. The shower tent is about 3 1/2 feet at its widest point. There is a strap inside for hanging items. The lining looks metalic, and just stepping inside, it's warmer in there! All was included that the whatcampingtent.com listing states. Pictures posted are: the tent, zippered windows at back and top, inside strap, metalic underside of tent door, solar water bag with shower nozzle and wire rope, carrying case with instructions on how to fold the tent (I went on YouTube and watched some videos on how to fold a pop-up tent, and can now do it with ease!), back view of carrying case with straps, pop-up tent fresh out of the package along with various other items, solar water bag as it came folded in its netted storage bag, and four sandbags with anchor guide lines and stakes. The sandbags would be used to weigh the tent down on a concrete set-up where you would not be using stakes. The sandbags are so small, they're worthless! Another reason for 4 stars. All-in-all, I think this is a decent kit, the pop-up tent is sturdy and seems to be of good quality, it's roomy, and I think it is worth the current asking price of $49.99.
Nice, well-made tent. Easy to put up and take down. It reminds me of my military days (see photo). A few little tweaks here and there could make it perfect: * The opening to the vehicle could be lower. It's 30" high, which is quite a hurdle. * The rear door to the main room is screen/mesh only. Add fabric closure option for the rear door, similar to the sides, to seal off the main room. * Design the rear flap to double as an awning. * Add metal or plastic pulls to the zippers. All they have is string. * A couple pockets and more than one hook would be beneficial.
Purchased this for car camping with porta camping toilet. One camping trip will be at the lake with a compost toilet. Do not want to have to try to find it in the middle of the night esp since I will have 2 dogs in my tent. Also plan to use on a camping trip w/o facilities. Will be difficult to walk away from camp & dig a hold in middle of the night. Will also use for changing clothes since it is difficult to do in our small tent. Easy to open. Works like the sun visors. Thin material. Zippered opening in top and upper back. Yes zippers were split since work two ways. Just had to zip/unzip and they were fine. No easy way to keep flap open. Only has a single piece of ribbon and a loop. Not sure that will matter since it will be used for changing and potty. No reason I will keep open. Comes with tie downs. Some noted how light it is and will blow away since no bottom. Don't think it will be an issue for us. Will tie down since we will be at lake for one trip. And no need for a bottom IMO. Yes, like the sun visors, it is difficult to figure out how to fold and twist to get back into the bag. I watched a YouTube recording several times and managed to get it in the bag. Main thing to remember is fold small end over large end and twist. Setup in my house to be sure it would work for our trip in a few weeks. Will update review if any issues. Update: This worked great for our private toilet! Used for camping weekend. The restrooms at campsite were not that great bc campers would not close lid on vault toilet & prop door open when not in use. We loved having a private toilet at our camp site. We used poo powder & had no smell, no flies, etc. It gelled the waste & made for easy disposal daily.
Like the tent. Easy set up and pack up. Missing a tie down strap on one side.
This worked really well for us. Lots of room for our 6+ chairs when needed. I also ordered a matching 10x10 turtle Beach blanket which was a great addition for the day before when we had our granddaughter with us. This stood up to 15mph winds on Anna Maria Island. My husband put it up by himself in the winds. The 2 sandbags per each of the four poles made for east stabilization. Compact enough to fit in our beach cart with a lot of chairs and toys. Super glad we purchased it. I will say I wish it had a 5th/center pole for added height inside. But even without it it was fine.
I'm using them to keep inflatables from flying away in the yard. They hold them in place just fine, but I noticed one wasn't fully threaded like the others. I'm already using some, so I won't be returning it, just want others to be aware that quality may vary. They are ready to install and so far have been holding well, so I have it 3 stars because of that.
LOVED everything about this product! The delivery was fast, the 1 page instructions were well written, the assembly was simple (It’s best with at least 2 people). OVERFILL the sand bags and pull them back as far as you can to assist in the stability of the poles that go into the sand. You will need to readjust the poles to position them for stability each time you move the sand bags back. When you do that correctly it is WINDPROOF! Never caved in! We had 8 people under the canopy and at least Lilly’s 4 more could fit! It also comes with a nice shade that you can attach to the canopy if the sun beams at an angle and gets under the canopy, but we didn’t need to use it. The take down is simple and easy and the carrying bag is great! All around great purchase! So happy I bought this! Will use it for years to come!
I was in need a set of heavy-duty long tent states to anchor both an EZ-Up market tent, as well as a way to anchor some fruit tree tie downs in my orchard. So far, I really like these tent stakes. Be aware that they are not as thick as standard rebar, as they are only 5/16-inches in diameter. They are well coated, and I am not worried about them rusting or bending. These are so sturdy that you can use one stake under the hook of another for leverage to pry or pull the stake out of the ground. These stakes weigh-in at a hefty 5-ounces each, so I wouldn’t recommend backpacking with these. The only issue I have with these is that the black coating wears off too easily. My hands get covered in a black soot like coating when I use these without gloves. Other than that issue, if you’re looking for some decent tent stakes to anchor a canopy, gazebo, or large tent, then this set is a good value.
I will add photos later, But it was an extremely easy set up, we tested it out and It only took us maybe 15 minutes to set it up for the first time, thats including the time it took to read the instructions. This was just our test run, so when we go camping I will add photos of the set up and review it more. I believe we will be able to fully set it up within ten minutes since we will not need the instructions next time, it is a fairly straight forward set up. Edit. Changed my review to 1 stars after actually using the tent. There was water leaking in all over the place and it was not even raining that hard, the tent was put together exactly as it should be and it was leaking from the ceiling, from the sides. The top was puddling up in the back and even got to the point where the roof was caving in, we even went outside to see if there was any way we could tighten something more or figure out why the water was not just running off, but found that everything was as it should be. I expect way more out of a tent that I paid $300 for and claims to be waterproof. Very disapointed in this purchase, I am returning.
Wasn't sure if this would be too big, as opposed to the profly or dryfly. So glad I chose to go larger. Much wider footprint for wind and rain coverage as well as for privacy. I purchased the one with a blue side and a grey side. Love the variation. My friend who has the regular sized fly is jealous.
Arrived with two holes in the tent causing water and bugs to come inside. Didn’t realize until a day before the return date.… other than that good amount of space.
I bought this tent to start motorcycle camping. It folds down really small and is light weight. It fits me on one side with my sleeping pad and all my gear fits comfortably next to me. I really like the function of the screen doors and how easy it is to set up and take down. The hook in the top middle of the tent was a great touch for me to able to hang my headlamp from it. I have not tested it in heavy rain but it did mist and I did not get wet. Great value for the money.
My 1st time camping or setting a camp tent, it didn't came with instructions yet it was so easy to set it up and taken down that they were not needed, took me about 2 mins to set, I upload 2 pictures, if you tent looks like 1st pic then it's wrong, has to look more round, gotta play a little with mechanism, it did withstand an about 40Mph wind out on the desert for sure, for me it was a great purchase, im mostlikely get another one, was tested on the desert, will tested on a different condition next rain and forest here I come!
I bought this tent for a fishing trip and when i set it up i noticed 2 small holes on the walls. This was quite a bummer because we were expecting rain and the first time setting it up was on site. I posted a 1 star review for this product with pictures and the company reached out to me and made it right. I was sent a new tent with no defects free of charge. I've bought a lot of stuff from whatcampingtent.com and I've never had a seller reach out to me. Overall the tent is good, was enough space to set up 2 twin sized mattresses with an isle between them and enough space for a tote at the foot of each mattress. It set up very quickly and went down quickly though i found it a little challenging to get it back in it's bag. I can't attest to how well it does in heavy rain, it rained slightly while using it and i didn't notice any water in the tent. The materials don't seem to be the highest quality but it is a great shape and feels spacious. Overall for the price i give it a 4/5 stars only because the first was defective. I highly suggest inspecting your tent BEFORE you go on a camping trip.
I bought this to use outside while I was renovating my house in Florida. After ripping out both bathrooms I needed something to use as a temporary shower and this was perfect. My house is out in the country so I just set it up outside on the deck and used my garden hose for water. I’m 5’11” and this was more than tall enough for me to stand and shower freely. It comes with great folding directions and easily collapses for storage once dry.
