Easy to set up and take down even in the wind. Plenty of room for us. Tent, shovel and easily fit back into carrying bag with more room to spare. Lightweight and durable. Would highly recommend.
I get it - these are railroad spikes...... I wasn't expecting something that looks like it just rolled out of the foundry, but to call them "NEW", might be a little off the mark. If new means they were never used on a railroad application, I believe it, but some of them look like they have been stored in the bottom of a barrel filled with water for 30 years. I just want them for welding projects, so I'll probably buy more - I just think the word "NEW" might be changed to "Never used"/
I attached the straps to my tires. I had my hatch closed but it would be possible to use with the hatch halfway open if you could secure the door so it wouldn't open all the way. I use it as rain/sun shelter, a changing room and a place for my bike when sleeping in the car.
First off the test is spendy but you get what you pay for. Solid construction with many options, so we'll thought out. I tested it out on a -5 degree night and was toasty. If you want to be comfy, get this tent!
Great set of anchors for securing outdoor canopies etc. They may be too heavy for hiking but I would definitely bring them in the vehicle to use to secure a canopy or large tent. Using a screw gun makes it so much easier. I tried this in various areas of my yard where the soil was drier and more compact, and near a large pine and bushes. Went into the ground easily. Solid galvanized steel and sturdy construction, I think these are a must for the described uses and are a good value.
I took this on a wilderness trip thought the Minnesota boundary waters park. Light to carry, but very sturdy reinforced corners. We were there June 4-7 2024( so you can check weather). Big enough to hide our cooking/eating area even in diagonal rain.
I ordered this as an outside shower/toilet tent for my camp trailer. It seems sturdy enough overall. It's quite roomy; I don't feel cramped showering even with the cap toilet in the tent. The opacity is good (not perfect, but that's hard to achieve). The carry bag is big enough that I don't have to re-fold the tent perfectly in order to fit it in. But I have some gripes: * No instructions were included! I've pitched plenty of tents in my life, so not a big deal for me, but it's a strange and somewhat troubling omission. * The hooks on the rain fly did not reach their anchor points on the poles! (They're about 3 inches/8 cm short.) I can add loops of string, but that's kind of bogus. * No Velcro straps for a shower head! (See pictures of ad copy vs. the actual tent corner.) Not a big deal for most people, I realize, but it is for me; those straps are actually the reason that I chose this product over other, less expensive models. * No way to contact the company for support! A tag on the tent's bag directed me to whatcampingtent.com's order support option, which directed me to the company website, which was dead ("took too long to load"). I want to like this tent, but the missing shower head mount may be a deal-breaker. I have a camping trip planned within whatcampingtent.com's return window, so I will see if I can rig up something "in the field", perhaps using the tent's lantern hook. Otherwise, back it goes. [I'll update this review accordingly, assuming whatcampingtent.com lets me.]
Fantastic, incredible; I am very happy for this purchase, quality product and always faithful to my Lakers forever
Tent 10/10. Shower head 0/10. It's way too short and so small, my Garlic powder seasoning is bigger 😆. It would work well as a "sink" but not a shower. I ended up buying another chargeable shower head on whatcampingtent.com (it's orange) and that one worked way better. I haven't folded the tent back up, I'll update when I do. Update 9/9/23: lol I finally folded it and put it back in the bag. I just used the instructions that are posted on here. It was easy. Sorry, I really don't have a good tip for you on how to fold it.
So I was thinking this would not be tall enough. Well I’m 6’2” and I have a lot of space above my head. The shower holder is kinda low where it will only wet your chest area. You’ll have to lean down to get your face. Now the only thing I don’t like about it. It’s funny to fold it back up to store. It took a second to understand how the legs fold. Finally got it, but if it wasn’t for that large storage bag, I would be doomed.
I've had it out on a few outings now. Relatively easy to put up. I like the poles on the outside. 2p size is perfectly covered by a 3x5m tarp which gives you a vestibule area. (3x3 was just a bit short). So far the durability has held up in cold and rain. I discovered a small hole in the back screen today, but that was probably user induced. I wish the screens went lower on at least one of the sides. This thing will keep you warm and dry. For the $, you honestly can't go wrong. The 2p will be somewhat snug for 2ppl but is an absolute dream for one. I can fit my cot along with all my gear and even have room for a small heater to warm it up b4 I sleep. The pack down size is manageable. I did get better stakes as the ones that come with it are hot garbage.
I had previously used some other brand stakes to secure my trampoline. But I moved my trampoline twice now. It was a headache taking out to take and putting them back in. The was so easy and fast to do. I would say to make it easier I use a torque wrench.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this tent!! I solo camp, and it's very easy for me to set up and take down myself. Definitely stays cooler, can take a nap middle of day, dark and cool. I have had this tent for 2 years with extensive use, almost every other weekend from April to October!! A little wear is evident; put a patch on the floor where center piece folds into floor, some blackout wearing off, looks like holes, but pretty sure it's just the black out coating. All zippers still work. I have taken care of my tent though, tarp on ground, thin rug and blanket inside floor to protect from cot legs and dog nails. I added sticky velcro to windows to keep drafts at minimum, since windows only zip up the sides, which leaves top unsecured (this could be improved). I also add a thin fleece blanket under rain cover to help keep warm in colder weather/altitude for insulation, which helps! I think tent is colder because it doesn't warm up in sun, but that's okay with me. NOT a downside, just a note, that even in middle of day, if tent is all zipped up, you'll need a light to find anything or change clothes, it is that dark. Can stand inside tent, and I'm 5'7". When it's time to replace, I plan on getting this same tent!!
Looks amazing looking forward to heat the beach
Based on the reviews and everything I read online I purchased this tent. Setup was super simple and I was very pleased that first night. That’s when everything went downhill fast for me. Second day at the campground it rained on and off all day. All 4 walls had water running down them from each of the 4 hubs in the middle and the floor started to wick water up from below. Later that night I killed 5 bugs inside the tent. The next morning I had 6 more bugs to kill and confirmed with a park ranger that they are Pennsylvania Wood Cockroaches. Native to the eastern US woods and according to the ranger nothing to worry about. So not only did my brand new $300 tent end up soaked on the inside but it couldn’t stop bugs from getting inside the tent. THIS IS WHERE THE STORY REALLY GETS INTERESTING. I contacted whatcampingtent.com and they authorized the return so I dropped the tent off at the UPS store the next day. That was on August 16th. I just finished a chat with 2 whatcampingtent.com reps and was told that because the item was over $200 they will not process the refund for at least 30 days. On top of that I am not getting a full refund. I paid $299 plus tax and whatcampingtent.com is only refunding me $241. Based on all the reviews I can only assume I got a lemon but what really frustrates me is whatcampingtent.com taking a month to refund me and then not giving me a full refund. Lesson learned. I will not make any large purchases from whatcampingtent.com again. Had I bought this tent from a brick and mortar store I would have received a refund the same day I returned the defective tent. Be aware. This tent had water literally running down the inside of all 4 walls and seeping up through the floor and if you purchase it through whatcampingtent.com they will really play games with your refund.
