I bought this umbrella about 1 month ago, just few days pass return date. This is the 3rd time I use it, when I open it on soccer field, to my surprise the center pole is not connected to canopy. The built-in tilt mechanism is loose. I can only find a spring and a button in the bag. I think I miss a bolt and a nut. Not sure if I miss anything else. I must lost them when I closed umbrella last time I used it, even I never used the built-in tilt mechanism. I believe bot and nuts was loose when I bought it and I didn't realize it. Can whatcampingtent.com or the manufacture send me the necessary parts so I can fix it?
This is a nice little tent for the money. It is significantly larger than my bivvy bag when set up. I’m 6’ tall and have about 18” from the top of my head to the door of the tent when lying down. The interior is about 3’ wide & about 2 1/2’ high. The fly remains attached to the tent when stowed, so setup is quick & easy. You will need to use at least 4 of the included stakes because this tent is not freestanding. The only negative is the bug net. The tent in the photos is a replacement unit. When I set the original tent up the bug net had a small hole in it. This one has performed well so far but the netting still feels somewhat delicate.
I’m sure the tent is fine and it is exactly what I am looking for based on the reviews I’ve read. I haven't set it up to check. The problem is, I paid over $100 more for this overland set because the description said it came with the footprint, upgraded tent spikes and guy lines. The tent came in the wrong color AND it had none of the extras included. I made sure to read the descriptions very carefully, and still didn’t get what I paid for. The terrain I camp on most is rocky and windy, so a footprint and better stakes are important.
Very tall, plenty of room for a round a 2 horses comfortably 3 a bit snug. I've had it now for 6 months and had zero issues. Easy to install. Suggestion: cattle gates aren't included ( as they noted) but the roof does include tarp & ribs. Install top first before you add the bottom tarps. I found it very easy to install an outdoor fan high enough the horse can't knock it over.
It is not a pop up tent. It is an A frame tent. We can not wait to use this tent in the summer time because it will provide a lot of shade. The tent comes with 3 poles, 2 short, 1 long. The 2 short poles go in on the sides first and the long pole goes in the front of the tent. Spacious for a 2 to 3 person tent.
Loooove this tent! I got the Ultra-Lightweight Beach Tent with UPF50+ Sun Protection in mint green, and it’s been great for the kids in our front yard. Why I Bought It: I needed something easy to set up and portable for the kids to use outside. How I Use It: We use it almost every day in the front yard. The setup is super quick, and the mesh windows keep it cool and breezy for the kids. Pros: - Quick and easy setup - Lightweight and portable - Great sun protection with UPF50+ - Spacious enough for the kids and their toys Overall, this tent has made our outdoor playtime so much better. Highly recommend it!
Size is only for 4 people sitting. I would say it can fit two people lying. It is good for picnic. For camping, it is too small. Installation is easy with instruction provided. It worked great at the beach with heavy wind.
It doesn't 'pop-up' as easily as the description claims. It will pop open when you take it out of the case but it's flat and it took some doing to figure out how to pull it open all the way. The included instructions only show how to fold it up. (Which turned out to be another challenge.) Be careful because this tent will blow over with a slight breeze. The first photo shows what it SHOULD look like and the second shows what it looks like if there is any breeze. It comes with 'stakes' but they are cheap junk: some bent wires and a length of cheap paracord. If you are going to use this you MUST purchase some decent tent stakes and stake it down every time. In the third photo you can see the guy lines I used. That helped a lot. I use it to cover a portable toilet and I'd hate to try and set it back up in the middle of the night. The only good thing is that, because it wants to fold flat, every time it blows over it collapses flat and doesn't blow away. I bought some good tent guy lines and stakes and it stayed up pretty well. Even then, I wouldn't trust it on a windy day. It will work to add a little privacy at a campsite but I wouldn't buy this one again.
We have used this the entire spring/summer and going on fall. We are very happy with it for the price. You have to duck to get into it, but if you're looking for shade, price, and easy to assemble this is a great product. I don't think it's meant for year round, and I can only see it lasting maybe 2 or 3 years if that's what you want it for and have to take it down for snow. There are a couple of *tiny* tears, and we do take it down in high winds. We have the frame screwed to the deck and it's only sturdy enough, it's gotten a little bent and the canopy collects water and then will pour on you. It's smaller than it appears, especially after all this time using it. For the price and what you get, it's definitely a win. We loved it so much, we are going to build a more permanent gazebo, which is something we never thought we would want, but it's easy to put up and take down and definitely opened our eyes to how nice shade actually can be.
You have to make sure the tarp is really stretched tight to keep it upright when putting in the poles. It took me two attempts to get it right. I like how compact it is to carry and it comes with a duffle bag. It comes with 1 canopy, 4 aluminum alloy poles, 1 canvas zipper carrying bag, four stakes and 1 sand shovel.
Only thing that would make this better is if it came with a shovel for the sand bags, I think my next trip I would have prefilled bags with rock or even sand. The sandbags are the only thing that is annoying about putting this away, the sand is typically damp and hard to get off completely. Also, double check the shading policies of the beach you are going to, if I had tried to use this in the summer I wouldn’t have been able to. So easy to set up and take down as one person. Attached photos show my tall chair, I’m 5’5” and was able to sit comfortably with this taller than average folding chair and a bun on top of my head. Also a large towel spread the length of the shade, definitely had it angled to catch the sun, but easy to move if needed. Also very light to carry, which I was nervous about using solo. Side windows allow perfect airflow. I hadn’t checked the weather my first day and it rained for about 2 hours. I closed up the screens and lasted an hour before the cold forced me inside but the tent kept my items dry, I say relatively dry because the side windows don’t seal completely and the top seams started dripping after time but it only dripped where the water pooled at the bottom of the screens. So if expecting heavy rain a tarp would be more useful, then you may as well be camping. The price was great, I thought even if it came apart or if I was frustrated with the mechanics of it and I’d have to leave it at my hotel it was worth it. But the quality is incredible I can’t wait to pack it, bring home, and to use again. It also had a bit of discoloration that is hard to tell in the photos.
I use these with my Kelty Noah's Tarp 12 to provide shelter from rain and sun. When there aren't trees around to tie the tarp to, these poles work great to hold the tarp up. Your surroundings will dictate how many poles you use. I typically use a three 3 pole setup in combination with Orange Screw stakes and the trucker's hitch knot. I've had storms come through on this setup and had no issues. They aren't heavy poles, but I use them in car camping. Don't think I could recommend them for backpacking
When the poles arrived we took them to the local park to set up with the kelty 16 ft sun shade. A light wind came up and one of the poles bent permanently and can no longer be collapsed completely. Sadly we missed the return window.
Bought this for vacation and it worked out wonderfully! The set up wasn’t hard at all as long as you have two people you can get it set up in two minutes. Taking it down is simple, just have to be mindful of how you’re folding up the tent to get it to squeeze back into the bag it comes in. Worked perfect for exactly what we needed it for. Held our things, let us get out of the sun if needed, snack breaks, etc. I definitely recommend! I did a lot of looking before purchasing one, but based on the reviews I chose this one. No regrets!
These are very cute and a big hit for my 10 year olds birthday party. We have a small room and these were a great size for the space and the price was good. I took one star away because the wood split when were assembling one for the tents and we have to secure it with tape but it could have been a fluke. Assembly was easy and we added strings lights to the frame which the girls loved!
