This is a fabulous kit with everything you need to set up your tent or a yard full of inflatables! I really like the compact way this can be stored and the organization with the storage as well. Highly recommend! A great value for the price!
UPDATE: (2023) Still using my original shade on my Tommy Bahama chair.Still works, slightly faded from the hot sun here, but withstands high winds and provides solid shade.STILL very happy with it.Provides better shade than an umbrella as far as getting any sunburn, probably because it’s closer to your head and face than an umbrella. So if you have sensitive skin on your face or chest, use this under your umbrella for extra protection.Better than a hat,no itchy scalp,no sweaty head, great air flow.I’m a long time beach sitter, and this is my most valued possession. 2020:Fit on my Tommy bahama chair perfect, however,my husband who is tall,6’3....it wouldn’t quite go up high enough because of the lay down bar on the chair. This is excellent in wind, doesn’t budge.Just snaps on the fabric covered aluminum chair tubing as shown in photos.I bought a back up for guests I love it so much.We go to watch the high surf and whales and it’s nice to not have to lug down the umbrellas etc. I use both this and an umbrella on warm Hawaiian summer days.GREAT product,I was NOT paid or compensated for a review, just a person who loves this.
Bought this for our OneTigris Northgaze hot tent. It is very spacious, and fits the wife and I and a medium size dog with plenty of room left for gear. If using the stove, we rolled back one section to be careful not to melt the screen. Even with a section rolled back, there is plenty of room for us and gear. If you’re already a fan of OneTigris, you know you’ll get what you paid for. And if you’re new to OneTigris, you won’t be disappointed with this.
We have used ours 3 times and absolutely love it!!! 2019 Subaru Crosstrek using a heavy duty aluminum aftermarket crossbar (locking type) We tried the OEM style aero crossbars which caused 2 issues: 1. Low clearance for installation which made for some frustrating installation moments) 2. Too much flex (when climbing in and out or moving around inside the RTT) Once installed we placed a 1 “ memory foam topper on the included mattress (otherwise you’ll be a little sore on the hips, elbows, etc). We leave our sleeping bags / blankets inside when we stow it. Takes 2 people to place on the roof manually, I’m building a crank lift for easier install. But, with my wife’s help for balance, it’s very easy. I could probably do it myself (it’s only 124lbs), but it’s Large & a little awkward, don’t want to damage the new Subie! Once installed it’s very easy to put the cover on / off. Deploying the tent and rain fly poles literally takes 2 minutes! Closing and stowing takes less than 5 min. Very comfy and warm. We’ve camped in overnight temps of 30 and 40 degrees, with our Heater-Buddy propane heater. Which was on for about 5 min (with proper ventilation and safety space) I’m 6’4” and about 230 and I fit fine. Wife is much smaller. Very comfy. The LED light (included) is amazing! I’ve called Smittybilt 2 times for questions about the roof rails. Looong wait time. Also, they were not able to answer the crucial roof rail questions. All cars are rated for a max dynamic roof weight of 150lbs (stability and safe turning). Sturdy roof rails are key! Preferably, I’d like to add a 3rd roof rail for weight distribution over the long term. The ladder is a shining spot. It’s nice and wide and safe for those late night restroom trips. The taller clearance roof rail you use, the easier it is to install. I actually leave the rails attached to the RTT when I remove it. It will cause some wind resistance and gas mileage decrease. All said, this is one of the coolest investments in our happiness that we’ve ever made! The tent is very thick, sturdy & well made. The zippers are tough & don’t snag. The rain fly poles are very easy. (If you’re under 6’, you might want to take a small step stool - like my short wife 🤣) to assist with deploying / stowing the RTT. We’ve learned a lot in a short time, thanks to the RTT community. Hope this helps! We can be contacted for further questions on Instagram at Overlander_minney_treehouse. -Joe
You will love this little hot tent! One of the reasons the Fire Hiking hot tent is the best teepee hot tent of 2021 is due to its price and quality. It also comes with a stove jack that will accomodate stove pipes up to 3 and a half inches in diameter. The stove jack is made of aramid which is nicer than a fiberglass stove jack because you won't get splinters from it like some other stove jacks I've seen. The tent fabric is made of a 66D polyeurathane ripstop fabric. Many budget hot tents do nothave ripstop weaving so it's nice to see the quality and crafstmanship in the design of this tent. The stitching is high quality with no lose threads. All seams are fully seam taped and do not leak! I've used it several times in light and heavy rain with no issues with leakage whatsoever! The vent at the peak of the tent has a plastic rib plus a metal stay to keep the vent open during heavy rain and heavy snow which helps condensation issues and keeps the air flow when burning a wood stove. This vent does not collapse even under intense rain! Which is nice to know, seeing as you need exchange of air to safely run a wood stove to reduce risk of carbon monoxide gas build up. Overall exceptional value and quality for the price.
Exactly what you would expect, slightly better! This tent makes a great addition to a small patio setting for winter or weathered days.
The string and tightening device on the orange bag literally broke apart when I opened the product for the first time to look inside. I will be returning the product and hopefully the quality of the sleeping bag is much higher than the bag it came in.
1. Did not come in case shown. 2. No rope. *Please send rope?
LOVE CoolCabana!!! This was very easy and simple to set up and provided wonderful shade for us. It was just as easy to take down as it was to put up. The CoolCabana is very lightweight and easy to pack down to the beach from our villa. Can't wait until our next beach trip!
These are telescoping poles, designed specifically to support tarps and tents. These poles are expandable to a good height of over 8 feet and are very sturdy. These poles are heavy duty, and do have some weight to them. They are definitely designed to use with heavy duty tarps, in creating shade or shelter. You get a pair of the telescoping poles, tie downs and a carrying case for them. I highly recommend!

I’m 6’4 and fit perfectly inside this tent WITH a cot! It’s weather proof, tons of mesh, massive pockets inside the tent, hook for a light, yeah… tent stuff. In all seriousness it’s worth every penny, and could be used as a 4 season.
This has been an excellent addition to my backyard! It was VERY easy to set up with just myself and my teenage son. I love that all 4 side walls can be removed completely and that inside of each corner section there's a little pocket to put the panel in while it isn't in use. The roof is high enough for even people over 6' to stand comfortably and not feel claustrophobic. We've had quite a few afternoon storms since we set it up and it's weathered them beautifully. It comes with the tent stakes and guy lines needed for a secure setup. The instructions weren't the best, but thankfully it's pretty self explanatory. All in all this is just a great way to be outdoors without having to deal with bugs, rain, sun, etc.
If you need a reliable privacy tent, look no further. This pop-up tent is genuinely excellent. Setting it up is a breeze and lives up to its durability claims. The included pegs, although generic, get the job done adequately, but let's focus on something other than those minor details. Privacy is the name of the game here. However, be cautious about using a light source inside the tent at night. The walls are not thick enough to conceal the light, transforming your personal space into an accidental puppet show for the entire campsite to enjoy. But let's be fair; this is a common issue with most privacy tents, so it's not a flaw specific to this one. Now, let's talk about the peculiar plastic pocket contraption of the tent. We found it confusing and repurposed it as a supply for our bathroom needs. Whether it was meant for a shower remains a mystery, but it didn't detract from our overall satisfaction with the tent. One standout feature of this tent is the fantastic ventilation. It provides ample airflow from the top and bottom, ensuring a comfortable stay. Moreover, the tent efficiently drains the water, saving you from unpleasant surprises during rainy weather. Overall, this privacy tent delivers on its promises. It meets all the essential requirements with an easy setup, impressive durability, and excellent ventilation. Remember the light leakage issue and the ambiguous plastic pocket, but don't let that deter you. This privacy tent earns a solid four out of five stars for its overall performance.
The instructions were pretty vague, but after the first setup, it’s a snap to put up and take down. You can put 2 twin cots in it + a toddler bed and still have plenty of room for play or gear. Attractive and well made. It all stores easily into the carry case when done. Good quality stakes, too.
