I bought two packages of these six of all three sizes They definitely beat hammering in stakes or using rebar or Playa stakes You can just a regular screw gun impact they were great going in and coming out Only problem is two of the medium size heads broke off before it even started in the ground. It was not because the driver was too strong or anything on the ground. The head broke off immediately. Not sure what to do to remedy this since I cannot return the whole order Definitely try this product out but buy extra so you’re not left high and dry when they break Definitely would love to buy bulk They held down a 13 foot Bell tent with no problem in Highwinds

The tent pops right up with ease, but trying to fold it up is complicated and hard to do. Its designed well with all the windows and capartments you need. Plenty of straps to hang accessories.

I love this tent. I just spent 3 weeks camping in the Olympic peninsula and this tent held up great. My only negative is that since it's canvas it shows dirt and stains really easy but that's just the nature of canvas. This tent stayed warm with my buddy heater, fits 1 person and luggage comfortably but you could get two people in there. It did so well in the rain until the last few days when it poured 5 days straight so I had to toss a tarp over it but water still seeped through just with how much water was in the air. It dried out pretty quickly for canvas with the heater on. It's slightly harder to set up with 1 person than a regular tent, but way easier to take down. A huge bonus: since it's canvas, the material doesn't get stuck in the zipper like regular tents. The bottom of the tent is tarp so no water gets on the ground and the sides are canvas. Overall, very happy with this tent, love the style, it's super comfy. 12/10 will never get it back in the bag correctly.

Have used the tent twice now. One day was very calm winds and one day was very strong winds. I am impressed by this tent. I can't speak to how durable it will be yet, but so far so good. WOULD LOVE TO REVIEW LARGER VERSION. Set up: Set up is very simple. There are many videos that show best practices, but here is the basics. Stretch it out on the beach. If it is windy, fill one corner full of sand and then the opposite corner, etc. Stretch them all out so there is decent tension. Once all the bags are filled, cover with sand. Then insert the poles under the tension of the cover. You want to try to face it into the wind, but even when the wind changed direction we didn't have any problems. Day 1 (little wind) Not much to talk about, provided nice shade. Easy setup and take down. Light. Was enough for 4 adults to sit under. You could fit more if squish or have small children. Very comfortable day. Day 2 (12-13 mph winds). I was at Light House Beach in Hatteras on May 27 (see video) so you can look up historical winds to see if I am BS'ing. It was very windy during set up, but I thought let's try it and see how it does. Was very pleased. During setup the whole thing flew up so we had to fill up one bag to anchor and then the other bags. The difference in setup from the non windy days was that we set the poles at an angle. You have to set a slight bigger opening into the wind and brace the poles into the wind / <---. The other side we set slightly lower. It took some adjusting to get the 'flappiness' down, but finally got it good enough. Was impressed as it got hit by gusts that it didn't budge. The bungees also did NOT pop off which was also nice. Made it comfortable for all of us. Finally had to leave because the wind picked up enough that sand was starting to pelt everyone. Final thoughts: I was impressed, would like to review something larger for groups of 6-8 to see how it does. Again, this is only two uses in, we'll see how durable it ends up being. That said, if you are buying for a few uses on a vacation, I would recommend. Will try to update at end of trip.

Had my first father son camping trip. Easy to set up even my son was able to help and this was his first time setting up a tent. I’m 6’00” and was able to sleep comfortably. It was sturdy. We got some small winds and gusts and held up great. Super secure. If you have a small bungee cord you can hook up the zipper to a little loop on the inside of the tent so you can sleep knowing you have that extra security. We were able to fit our bags, sleeping bags, small 2 person air mattress and had plenty of space for more. It’s sturdy enough to hold the little portable fan but the mesh net made it better. For a first time camper it’s great.

I camp at least once per month and own a couple one person tents so I wanted to give a two person a whirl! Comes with basic necessities - cheapy tent stakes, two light but sturdy poles, guy lines, and a zip top bag which is nice! This tent is very basic and I'll go into what's included or lacking with each piece of the tent below. The four season is a stretch but solid three season and you will be comfortable. I live in a place where we have two seasons; Hellscape and a few degrees cooler than hell - haha - so I don't care about seasonal use. It will be a tight fit for two full sized adults but it will work. I included a pic of my interior setup with my bed roll, clothes cube, and teeny table for lanterns, chargers, etc. MAIN TENT BODY - decent; high bathtub seam (7 inches or so); mesh is great! Again, I live in heat so I opted to use the tent without the rainfly for my trip. The ventilation is incredible although I wish the mesh did NOT go down to the bathtub seam to offer more privacy to occupants. A bit of opaque fabric would shield any sleepers from passersby. Zippers are average - take care using them. The tie backs are horrendously cheap - not a toggle or velcro or even a button to secure the doors. It's a single, short piece of fabric and a fabric loop that you have to take the extra time to knot to tie back the openings. I prefer quicker release/fastening toggles that I can easily figure out even when it's dark. There were loose threads everywhere but I didn't see any faulty seams although I didn't look particularly closely. RAIN FLY - full length; short comings are in how it fastens to the tent framing which I included a picture of. The rain fly has a simple, plastic hook on a bit of elastic to secure the rain fly. Plastic on outdoor gear never lasts more than a season or two. Also, one misplaced step by a heavy person or a drop of equipment will break both the hook and ring it's supposed to connect to. There is NO way to tighten the rain fly so you better pray there is no high wind - you're only wiggle room is the slight extension of the elastic loop. There are tie downs INSIDE the rain fly to secure it to the tent poles but what a nightmare to tie - you have to crawl inside the rain fly (like you're wearing a poncho) and correctly knot/loop all of the ties while hunched over or any wind will have them brushing against the mesh. Disappointed in the quality of the rain fly. But again, I don't live in a particularly rain or cold climate so the rare use of the rain fly doesn't bother me. I wanted to call out for anyone who for sure knows that they need to take a rain fly when camping. You do have the ability to have two vestibules by using the rain fly - there are loops to stake out the vestibule. I am estimating that you have about 20 inches from the door to the point of the vestibule. Definitely enough room for a day pack and hiking boots. I would recommend if you aren't an avid camper. The quality is average so having out in extreme high or low temperatures will definitely degrade this tent quickly. If you're doing a couple trips a year, go for it! If you're a steady camper/weekend warrior, pass on this one and spend a few more bucks for higher quality finish out. I give four stars based on rare use - 2 stars if a serious camper.

Liked tent until out of warranty and poles failed! Beware BAD MSR company/gear: I bought Hubba Hubba NX 2-person tent several years ago (JUST out of warranty). Nearly new, it had pole connector failures (between trips, several connecting pieces came loose and slid inside pole tubes). I discovered this by headlamp with rain on the way. Decided to hike down the 4.25 mile/1600 foot elevation gain in the dark, then drive home 5.5 hours (falling asleep). I have since been reading the negative reports on this tent and it seems MSR/Cascade Designs either do not reply to complaints, do not honor warranties, or even expect their gear to fail. I paid over $337 (!) for Hubba Hubba NX 2-person tent. Not much used yet. I have backpacked 50 years (May 1974-June 2023). This is the first ever pole failure I've even heard about much less experienced.

I love this it worked exactly as advertised and closing wasn’t that bad after 2 tries I figured it out without a problem. Set up and break down was easy!

I swear by these pop-up tents, I’ve had a few over the years and recently lost ours in a storm so I purchased this one and love the look and the quality of it however, there was a small rip in it. My daughter noticed once we opened it up. we need it this week so I think we’re just gonna try and patch it on our own other than that so far so good

I was so excited to get this chair. Giddy, ecstatic, a cooler?! a bottle opener?! and umbrella?! RECLINES?!... I was going to have the most comfortable seat for the beach / camping / kid's sports. I got it last August, and used it to watch about 7 youth football games. We took it camping once. We took it to the beach twice. In those 10 times I used I , I reclined it 1 time. It was stored in the bag after every use and placed on our "chair shelf" in our garage. And after those 10 uses - it disintegrated... I have chairs that I paid 9.97 for that have held up better than this. The recline mechanism broke on the one side, again just once after using it. The button dislocated in the chair leg, so the one side is perpetually reclined (I did add a zip tie to try to diminish the leaning). The fabric on the chair back also ripped. So now it has no usable back. I am not overweight. I am well within the "capacity" of this chair. By almost double. So then I looked at the warranty, because I have had this chair 7 months and a few days as of today, and it has been sitting useless for a month while I decide what to do. The problem is NOT just the chair, the warranty is likely designed for it to never be used. here is what it reads: [If your product breaks within the warranty period, please call Customer Service for a RA #. After receiving this number, return the defective product with the number clearly indicated and a warranty replacement will be shipped to you free of charge. All shipping charges on ALL returns will be at the buyer's expense. Only valid in the USA] So I calculated the shipping on the chair, and just shipping cost, (ignoring the fact that I have to pack for packaging it - irregular shape) is $29.28. Again that is just shipping. So I have to buy a whole 'half' of another chair, to get a replacement, that may fall apart in just 6- months too, with less than a dozen uses?! And if that one breaks, I will have then bought 2 chairs for one. Quality is poor, and warranty is a joke, if you live across the country as I do, it is great for those in CA (because shipping so much closer) and be certain, you are going to need it. Clearly they don't really mean to back up this chair with a half-hearted warranty like that. This chair, that for the amount of money they charge, should last more than 10 uses.

As a resident from Colorado, this tent is great. I purchased this along with the Crua Cocoon Insulation and together these are perfect for allowing me to camp well into the late fall months. Setting up the tent is straight forward, but it does come with instructions. Two poles cross to form the foundation and you stake it in place. The stakes are durable metal and aren’t L shaped, which helps prevent bending them out of shape. The third pole is used to support a front porch area. It overhangs nicely, which gives you a place to keep shoes, etc. Also, it has a double entrance, one to the porch and one to the interior of the tent. Each entrance has two flaps closed with zippers and Velcro, one solid and one mesh to keep bugs out and let air flow. The Velcro stitching was a little weak, but they were backups for the zippers anyhow. Air flow is especially important as this is a water proof tent and only has one entrance. At the rear of the tent, there is another small flap that can be unzipped to expose a mesh window and further promote airflow. The same feature can be found in the roof of the tent. After using it on a warm day, I didn’t have any problems with overheating. Finally, there are two pockets inside of the tent on either side. The tent size really only accommodates 2 people as stated (175 lb guys, 6’ 0”), so I didn’t really find a need for more pockets, although one near the ceiling may have still been nice. Lastly, the tent was tall and felt roomy, which I assume was intentional to help accommodate the cocoon insulation. This made it slightly more susceptible to wind gusts, but as a somewhat taller person, it was nice to be able to kneel in an upright position without my head hitting the ceiling. Overall, this is a solid tent that has excellent accommodations for keeping the water out while allowing air to flow. Even without the cocoon insulation, it’s a great option for Colorado camping.

I ordered 2 of these and one is missing part of the metal frame insert on one end section that allows it to stand erect. Without it, it collapses in on itself. I would rate it higher if they both had all the necessary parts for me to use it as needed. I sent an email to the seller to see if I can get an exchange as I do like the product and need it for my business. I am hoping for a replacement.

I ONLY use NFS tents when I hike, so the "hunt" for a lightweight tarp, that doesn't break the bank (like a 10x12 Dyneema tent would do) is a huge plus! That said... at 1.7 lbs (or 27 oz, on the dot), this tarp is the best of 8 other "ultralight" tarps I've purchased in the hunt for a budget, UL tent tarp. While lighter than most other tarps in its class (incl dimensions, quality, & waterproofness vs weight), it doesn't scrimp on the most basic of features; including several grommets for guy-outs (as noted in my pic), as well as several loops along the ridgeline for suspending it from a line (or similar). Combined with a 1.3 lb tent body, a 0.2 lb stake / cord bag (w/ titanium stakes & Dyneema cord), this tarp brings my total tent weight to a mere 3.2 lbs ~ that is a 7ft x 5ft tent body w/ a 120 sq ft tarp! That's a LOT of "real estate" for such a reasonable weight for its price point!!! I will update this review as necessary, as I continue to use this tarp & test its durability. On a side note, I also have a Foxelli headlamp & poncho-tarp, both of which I LOVE! So far, Foxelli is one of my FAVE budget hiking gear brands... who has earned a place among my name brands (e.g. Granite Gear, Gossamer, REI, Osprey, etc.).
