This tent is very well made, right down to the carrying, pole, and stake storage bags. It’s well designed, well sewn and made from quality materials. It comes with stakes, tie downs and a removable floor. Assembly isn’t difficult - takes less than 10 minutes to set up, a little longer if you need to stake it down and use the tie-downs. It’s very sturdy, especially when staked and tied correctly. Note that it’s not staked and tied down in the included daylight pictures but is in the night picture - it was quite windy that night :) The removable floor ties in nicely when you need it and allows for easy drainage. There are two mesh storage pockets and an adjustable strap that runs across the back over the zippered window that can be used to hang clothes and towels from. The ceiling hook easily holds a 5 gallon shower bag. There is zippered access through the ceiling to allow a hose to run in from the outside. The ceiling itself is bug mesh and allows for good ventilation, especially when the window is open. The tent is tall enough that the rain fly is only needed for inclement weather - with the window closed there’s no way to see in unless you’re very tall. It still breathes well with the fly on. In daylight, there will be no shadow - the material is quite heavy duty and is silver lined on the inside. At night, when lit from within, there will be some shadow but it is a far cry from see though - be realistic, it’s fabric construction, not drywall and wood ;). I’ve had need to contact the seller - they’re very responsive and willing to help when needed. I would happily do business with them again.
This tent is perfect for me. I use a twin air mattress and it still gives a pretty good amount room leftover. I love the large door and the full screen front of the tent. Like the idea of the screening at the top of the tent, however, I have not used the tent without the fly on. At least I can keep the front of the tent open with the rainfly pulled back. Great amount of pockets (4 small pockets). Good brand and I am very pleased with my purchase. I bought the footprint as well and I'm super glad I did. The color was a little different than it looked in pictures. I thought part of the tent was purplish in color for part of the tent, but really looks brown and orange. It did not bother me enough to want to return it because of what I perceived was a color difference. It does have a hook at the top of tent for hanging a fan or lantern etc. Super happy with my Marmot tent!!
*Update after 2 years* Tent still holds up nicely. Camped once in the rain and there was zero leak inside the tent. For the price it’s already well worth it. *Original review* Bought this tent in early 2023 and has since taken it on 8 camping trip and it held up great. It is easier to set up with 2 people and took is less than 10 minutes. On one of the trip it rained but the tent kept us inside. It is well ventilated. All the zippers & tent poles function great. We got the 4 people tent. With 2 adults and 2 small dogs sleeping inside, there’s still plenty of room to put our stuffs in the tent. Inner pockets are useful to keep our phones, keys, and flashlight easily accessible. As a beginner tent, this really is the best option.
The canopy is super easy to set up and take down. It folds nicely and very easily into a compact bag. This bag is included and weighs next to nothing, making it a perfect item to bring along to the beach or camping. The stretchy material of the canopy feels like it is made of quality material. The poles collapse for easy storage. Comfortable fits two adults and three children.
There is a good sun protection, mesh net to avoid mosquitos and other bugs all around. Front door has 2 levels: 1 with sun/wind protection, the second one lets the wind flow and make inside fresh but still avoiding mosquitos and bugs. The floor mat is also good to isolate from the floor temperature. My dog, my family and I loved it! It’s just throw it and it’s ready to be used. To fold it again is a little trick, but easy too, just need to get used. I definitely recommend!!
I like this camping tent shower/restroom because it's easy to assemble and disassemble. I'm surprised that the divider has a zipper and which gives us the flexibility of not needing to open and close the zipper before we can use the portable potty. We can also use it as a whole to have a bigger space because my husband, who is 6' in height, needs more vertical and horizontal space when using the porta-potty. It is made of a decent material, although I would admit the mesh on top might be the first one to wear out, which is not a big deal unless it's wintertime when it's really cold. We only use porta potty when doing number 1 or maybe 2, and we prefer to use the shower rooms in State Parks when camping. This is convenient, especially in the middle of the night when you have to take a leak and do not need to walk 800 feet to the nearest restroom just to use the toilet. Overall, I love this product and will highly recommend it.
Used it as a ready tent for myself and bridesmaids at my outdoor wedding. I love it! Fairly easy to assemble, especially if your a camper and used to tents. Super thick durable material and looks amazing!
We purchased this for our camper that is ocean facing in the Keys. Lots of wind. Many storms later (no hurricanes of course) and stayed in place. We bolted down the corners and then tied off for extra reinforcements. At one point all of our patio furniture had been thrown onto one side of this tent from an unexpected storm that came through. This thing held up like a champ. The roof collapses in with heavy rain which I think is good so it doesn’t ruin the roof supports. Pop it back up and let the rain run off when it is done and all is good. So very impressed. Many other campers are asking us about it since they have all watching this thing take a punch. If you are on the fence take it from me, it is worth it.
Pops up easily! Room enough for one person and gear. Kind of wish it had doors on both sides. Sturdy. Travel bag pocket with tent stakes came ripped or ripped within a few seconds of opening so that's a bit annoying but not bad. Packs up easily.
Used this during my Military Annual Training. We moved 2 fields and this did the job. The only thing is the metal pegs that hold the tent to the ground is flimsy, the tent pouch broke immediately. Overall for the price is not bad
Tents is easy to setup and would stand high wind but when start to rain it would leak inside.
We had ours up for 2 months while dry camping and worked great for quick showers and a changing room. I did use additional window anchors.
This might be the coolest thing I've ever got from whatcampingtent.com. We are using it as an entrance tunnel for a school event, then for the students to use on their field day. We blew it up only to test it, and every single person who saw it, child or adult, begged to run through it. We had half the school go through! You could easily get small cars through it, too. I have never bought one of these before, so I have no comparison, but I can't think it gets much easier than this. You literally plug it in and help it stand up as it starts to inflate - that's it. It took one person less than five minutes to go from box to inflated. Deflating takes significantly longer, just because it's so much air to release. There are 4 large zippered vents that are covered with strong Velcro while closed. Just unplug, unzip, and let it start to collapse. You can squish, stomp, or roll the air out, but it's still going to take you a while. I timed it at 7.5minutes, but that was not getting it flat enough to go into the nifty bag that is included. It was flat enough to fill my SUV's entire trunk to the roof. There are multiple strong rings on the side for tethers if needed (it wasn't a windy day for us, so it stayed put well without anything). Stakes and ropes are provided. There are also six bags of the same material as the inflatable that you can fill with weights/sand/rocks to keep it stable. You can also attach balloons or other decor to the rings - it would be the perfect height. Only down side of this is that it MUST be plugged in the entire time, like those big bouncy houses. The second you unplug it, it starts to deflate. There is a decently loud whirring noise that comes from the fan. It becomes white noise after a while, but you'll enjoy the peace when it finally shuts off. The power cord is a good length, so you may not need an extension cord. Overall, I was very pleasantly surprise by this. I was really dreading setting it up, and it turned out to be the easiest thing that I did all day!
First time we put it together, it was a bit slow going. Second time we set it up we were at the beach and it went together fairly easy. Next time was a windy day at the beach but it went together quick. You absolutely have to either tie it down or weigh down because 1 good gust of wind and it flips up and wants to take off. We usually put our cooler in one corner and all of our other things in the other and it stays out.
Hard to stay on, no matter what I tied it too, very flimsy just keeps blowing with the wind letting all the hugs in. You may need to buy magnets or something to help the top stick. Does not close with it on. I need a different type of attachment for privacy that doesn’t mean keeping my trunk open. Or can close with it on in case I need to move or readjust or go to bed. Pretty easy to setup once you know what’s where. The zippers are good and I liked the double layer one mesh for the bugs and one black for privacy. Good space for the tailgate. Waterproof material. Good product Just isn’t what I needed.
