The tent is amazing and exceeded my expectations. The reviews are great, but the tent is even better. It is quality, heavy duty, functional and well made for my purposes. I bought it to leave set up on one my places for the winter as a hunting base camp for my 10 year old son and I to use as we could. I originally set it up at my house and water proofed it per instructions. I then set it up out at one of the ranches two months ago, stocked it with our cots, provisions and a wood stove and left it. It has encountered all kinds of high winds, freezing temperatures (we live in South Texas so the lowest temp we have camped is 26) and it hasn’t moved an inch or let in a drop of water. It is heavy as all get out, but I can easily set it up by myself. As long as you don’t have to pack it far you are good. I am more than happy with my purchase and I think it will last several more years. We have camped in it several times and are really impressed.

Update: Forgot to mention the two ends of the rain fly do not have loops to stake out the rain fly away from the tent body. This could cause possible issues in rain and ventilation issues. I'm going to sew loops onto mine. This is a nice two person tent for the price. It weighs less than in the description, 82.82 ounces or 5.17 lbs. Geertop has joined the "enlightened tent manufacturers" in providing a gym bag type storage rather than a tube shaped stuff sack that are a pain to pack. It comes with a buckle strap to keep everything together. Set up is easy with a traditional 2 pole dome arrangement with good clips. It comes with good stakes and guylines. The rainfly attaches easy with a buckle arrangement. Although it is forest green, note that the rain fly does have reflective parts if you are considering it for stealth camping purposes. Generous sun shade/vestibules at each door. I go motorcycle camping, not hiking, so I won't be using trekking poles to use it in a sun shade configuration. I'll just find some dead branches to use instead of trekking poles. There is a generous storage pouch at each of the two ends and a traditional hook at the top for hanging a light. The storage bag has assembly instructions sewn to the bag, but it does not show how to repack. when repacked I left two ends of the rain fly attached for quicker set up. Fold in thirds width wise, then roll up the tent with the poles. It repacked to about 18" x 6" x 6". It's possible that if you replaced the poles with ones with shorter segment lengths you might get it to repack smaller. The poles are 8mm and the segment lengths are 17 3/8". It also will probably pack smaller if you folded the rainfly separately like how it was originally packed. The longer pole segments are the only negative factor of the tent for me. I have not camped in the rain with the tent yet so I cannot attest to waterproof capability.

Used this tarp while working as a wilderness guide. Larger and lighter than my poncho keeps the weather out and easy to set up teamed up with a modular sleep system bivy works great

Just took a wilderness rescue training course in Uwharrie national park N.C. I used the tarp over my hennesy hammock system for added protection. We received a couple of inches of rain that night and thanks to the dryfly rain trap i stayed dry throughout the night. Come morning i raised the side of tarp and was able to cook my breakfast with out getting wet. Thanks again for helping make this possible.

Even though these poles feel a little bit light, they fit together very snugly and recently survived 35 mph of wind, tied just like you see in the picture. Very shiny, worth the money I paid and do very well. Just exactly as I need.

These silver colored rebar stakes have a pointed end that has a protective cover to help with driving into hard ground. I am using these to help tie down a chain link fence to the ground to help prevent our dogs from going under. They look good so far with the same basic silver coloring as the fence, are easy to drive in. At just under $30 for a set of 10 (price as of this review), not the cheapest solution. I would think these would also be very good as long tent stakes as there is not a plastic end to break off & the solid material & hook makes a good surface to pound into the ground & larger area to then pry against to pull back out. The 16" length is good for how we are using or tent stakes. If the ground is very soft, even this longer length may not hold as well as you may need.

  • It’s a super ideal to have a floor protector for your tent when you have dogs. My tent is a investment and I want to keep it clean and nice. My dogs sleep on us but camping makes their paws muddy and this protector is a great way to prevent messes. And it’s a added layer between cold ground and us.

This tent is garbage! Then entire bottom filled wit water in the smallest rain. My blanket and belongings were drenched. Don't waste your money.

Somehow the straps/clips were sown on the wrong side of the Footprint. I had to mix grey with yellow in order to keep the stake loops open. (See Photo) This is not a show stopper but it would have been nice to keep the colors the same for their intended purpose. If I match the colors then the stake loops are inside the clip attach points which does not allow the stacks to be secured to the ground. (see photo) My son had an earlier version of this footprint which did not have the clips built into the straps, his setup is more universal. (See photo) I suppose I could leave the clips unattached but I wanted to keep tension between the footprint and the tent cover as I believe they intended.

I am happy I picked this tent with the double sandbag support for each pole. I used it on a windy day, honestly it took me about 25 minutes to put it together. Fighting the wing, but with perseverance me and my kids got it up. Shovels could be stronger, they break easily.

I like that it is light weight and relatively easy to install. I liked the internal gear loops and attachment points for the boot bags and yak hooks. It is compact. I was at 1st reluctant to purchase because the material was not coordinated with the HD skyrise tent but after thinking about it I am glad they did not change it for the HD version of this tent since it needs to be removed and stored and its small size makes it more efficient for camping and over landing when you are needing the room to store all of your stuff. The lighter fabric is easier to handle. Improvements could be made to the stake loops at the bottom by replacing the plastic rings and going with a more robust strap or loop system with reflective rope.

This tent is really cool. It’s very spacious, has double sided zippers and requires no assembly! I’m using it as an indoor tent for my son with special needs, and he loves it. It also comes with the accessories needed to use it outdoors as well, such as stakes, fixing rope etc. I definitely recommend!

It's a good tent, for camping not to light weight but a good material tent. The size it's perfect for 1 person, and it feels to short for 2 persons, and I'm just 5'43", so that that in consideration. For the rest it's a good tent

We’ve used this tent twice and the first time being in an intense thunderstorm in the mountains in Arkansas. This storm had it all, heavy winds, down pour, thunder and lightening that shook the ground… really terrifying (wasn’t for seen in the forecast). That said this tent never lost its shape nor leaked at all, the other campers tents got destroyed but this small tent held its power. For that we were able to use it again this year in much better outdoor conditions. LOVE this tent!!! For 2 people look no further, worth every penny! Favorite feautures: I love that without the rain fly you’re completely exposed to the outdoors keeping the bugs out. For privacy put on the rain fly. I love the 2 deep pockets up above, if we pack light I can fit my essentials inside the tent. And there’s a hook to hang a light and/or fan. PERFECT!!!

This was perfect for the beach! Our daughter loved it. Very spacious, I was even able to crawl in there with her. It was easy to set up and easy to fold up to put away. I do wish the pegs were more sturdy as windy days at the beach would blow it away. Kept her out of the sun! Lightweight and durable!
