I've ordered ground anchors from several vendors in the last few months. I use them to hold down a portable deer hunting blind. I've used them to hold down a double wall culvert (with trapped air), so it doesn't float up during flooding. Lately I'm accumulating them for anchoring animal (foot hold) traps. These are great for anchoring small traps! I find these things are very easy to put in with a cordless impact driver. For trapping, most people use a stake. But what I like about these, is that I don't have to pull them out like I would with a stake. Just reverse the impact driver and its powered removal as easy as the powered install. Another thought about using these trapping: For dirt hole coyote sets, people drill a hole in the ground. A lot of people seem to buy aughers specifically for that, which is totally unnecessary. Just put this auger in a drill chuck and it will drill your bait hole. Then move it to the nut driver bit in an impact driver and screw it into the ground to anchor the trap. As for this model of anchor specifically: it is a little shorter overall. And the screw part is a little narrower than others I've gotten. But - the screw part covers the entire length, whereas the others I've ordered don't. I've got my hand in the picture so you can see how short and narrow it is. So this should be a little easier to go into hard ground (because its shorter and narrower). But may pull out of soft ground a little easier (again, because its shorter and narrower). So I can see why a person might prefer either style. But if you want this style, this is a well made example of this style of anchor. The threads on the top loop felt a bit crunchy while screwing it into the nut (more so than the other anchors I've used). I expect it won't take much rust for that to sieze. So if you want to be able to remove the top loop, some heavy grease or antisieze would be a good idea. But I'm not taking off stars for this. All of these are going to rust after you screw them in the ground and they get rained on, so regardless of which you order, you should put something on the threads if you want to remove it. It would be cool if that nut driver had a slot in it to put over the loop. Then we could use it to unscrew the loop. That'd be a great upgrade that I've not seen on any of these anchors!
This portable toilet offers a nice sturdy setup for your camping or emergency needs. It folds down into a pretty flat package for storage or transport, and the included carry bag is a nice touch. The plastic feels like good quality, and it feels sturdy when you sit on it. That said, I think the advertised 500 pound weight capacity is probably a leap! Probably in large part because this is not even a fully standard sized toilet, and for a normal sized person, male or female, it still will require the right seat positioning to hit your target, if you get my drift! The setup for attaching the bag feels secure, and I appreciate that there is a plastic bottom to this so the bag doesn't rest on the open ground. Package included some bags and "poo-gel" to absorb the waste. (Although I prefer cat litter which works well too!). Over all, this is a fairly well designed portable toilet that should be a good addition to my camping supplies.
Used this tent for the first time on a week long camping trip this summer. It was a very hot week with a few really heavy rain storms, and this tent was amazing! it stayed completely dry inside. Not a drop, not even condensation! I did a ton of research and this tent has almost all the features I wanted. Full coverage rain fly but still good cross ventilation with the rain fly on. We weren’t hot at all at night because we were able to leave both vestibules open and if it started to rain in the middle of the night we didn’t need to worry about closing anything unless it was really storming. The canopy was great to have too! Bought poles for it. Also the zippers were amazing! My son and I went in and out of the tent a lot, often with our hands full and it was so easy to unzip and zip up the doors with one hand. My only real complaint is I wish it was a little bigger. Even 10x10 instead of 10x8.33 would be great. But that’s only because we use a rather luxurious setup with big cots and pads and I’d like just a little more room at the foot of the cots to store gear. It was fine with 2 cots but with 3 cots it would be too crowded with our setup. I still highly recommend this tent and will continue to use it for camping with just my son, but would buy a larger version in a heartbeat if they made it, and currently shopping for something bigger for when more family joins us on trips.
Love this tent. Sets up in seconds and was very surprised on the size!
We put this up as an emergency potty, solar shower area for our campers who are further out in the woods. We have it installed in a bigger tipi tent. Easy to secure and only takes a few minutes to set up. Good material, but won’t hold up to harsh weather or wind long term by itself. Perfect for on the road camping excursions. I like how highly visible it is! Zippers work very smoothly. There is enough room for me to even put a small table in there.
The tent arrived double boxed for protection which was nice. Comes with instruction, but not in English. The pictures helped, but I still struggled setting this up solo the first time. The rain canopy is the most difficult part to put up and I couldn't figure it out. I bought this because the pictures showed the awning set up without having poles placed into the ground, but I still can't figure it out. The main tent does "pop-up" pretty easily. I question the longterm durability as there were already pieces falling off (picture of velcro that fell off) and there stitching had many loose strings that were coming undone.I plan to use this as a storage tent and I hope I can figure out the rainfly. Overall I would give the tent a solid "B" grade.
I have to start by saying. A lot of these pictures are showing it set up with a lot of sag in it. Notice in the pictures I’ve set up there is little to no sag in the canopy. I bought this for a week Long Beach vacation in Indian Rocks Beach Florida. Every morning I set this up then my whole family would use it through the day. There was enough shade for 6-8 chairs and couple of carts to be parked under it as well as a few toddlers to play in the sand out of the sun. If you set it up correctly it only takes about five-right minutes to set up. I found it was easier if you lay it out on the sand first and stretch it out to where it’s flat on the ground. Fill ALL EIGHT Sand bag weights. To fill the sand bags they are flat square material with a cord running through the edges. Lay them flat on the ground and dump sand onto them then simply pull up on the two cords that run up to the canopy it will draw up and close around the sand and make a bag. You might have to fasten the four extra sand bags to the canopy. Just push one end of the cords loop through the canopy where the other sand anchor is attached to the canopy now pass the sand bay and cord through the loop that is sticking through the canopy and pull it tight. Once all eight of the sand weights are filled assemble each pole one at a time. The bungie that straps the canopy to the top of the pole also holds the pole together when storing it bunches up in the bag. Each pole has its own bungie. Assemble the pole stick the canopy end of the pole under the double layer of one corner. Strap it to the pole then lift that corner up gently pulling the sand weights toward the pole till you can plant the pole striaght up and down. Repeat for each corner. One all four corners are up to around and place the sand weights in line with the edges of the canopy 90 degrees from eachother on each corner. You can gently pull each sand bag out till the edge of the canopy is pulled straight and it’s not sagging or floppy. Once you’ve straightened the canopy and tightened it now go around and simply straighten each pole. You’re now done. Enjoy! Take down is the exact opposite. Remove each pole one at a time. Break down the pole and place the bungie over the pole to hold it all together then throw it into the nice carrying bag. Repeat for each pole. Now go to each sand bag and dump it out. Once all the sand is dumped simply throw it onto the middle of the canopy. Repeat for each sand bag. Once all eight of the sand bags are emptied and thrown into the middle of the canopy just fold it up and stuff it into the bag. You’re now done and on your way. Took me about 5-8 minutes to take it down even in the dark. This canopy works very well and also allows a lot of air flow underneath. The larger canopy’s with the heavy metal frames like the one in one of my pictures to the right of this canopy don’t allow a lot of air flow for some reason. With all eight sand bags attached and filled it will withstand a good amount of wind and not blow over. I noted that there were a lot of other brand canopy’s set up on the beach with single sand bag anchors on each corner and a lot of them were being blown loose due to the wind. This one was not bugging. Stayed tight and never came loose. The key is to FILL the sand bags. I just used my hands to fill them and scooped the sand into the sand bags. They do have a blue plastic scoop that works well but takes longer. The kids used it to play with mostly. This canopy also comes with a set of metal stakes for use like at a sports event or something. The end of each sand bag has a small opening where you can pull the end of the cord loop through it then stick the stake through the loop. Super simple design that works very well. This canopy is NOT water proof. It’s designed to cast a good sized shade spot for hot sunny days. It does a great job at what it was designed to do. All in all I’m very happy. Even though it was set up every day for 7days for the whole extent of the day there is no damage to any of the canopy of poles or sand bags. Besides some sand scratches in the aluminum poles where the slide together but that’s going to happen. Oh and sand inside the storage bag. If they bothers you it might be a good idea to open it up at home and set it up so it can be cleaned off. I could care less it does it’s job well and will be used every time we go to the beach or a sports event outside. It’s worth it people, I’m 6’1” tall and when set up properly my head rarely touched the underside of the canopy. My brother in-law is 6’3” and he had no problem moving around under it.
We are happy to have this pop up tent as part of our camping gear. It provides the perfect solution for us to use for our private bathroom and showering needs. The things that I like most about this tent is that it is compact and light weight, has a removable floor, the zipper is good quality with a double head, the top of the tent has a screen and zipper vents, and includes a rainfly. Design, materials, and workmanship of this tent is top of the line. I am 5 toot 11 inches tall and weigh 200 pounds, there is ample head room and elbow room for me to move around and shower in this tent. The tent is very easy to set up, it just requires pulling it out of the bag and allowing it to pop out. My only complaint is that it is maddening to fold and pack back up. The product description has details on the process of packing the tent up, it is not easy. The first time it took me 20 minutes to figure out and folding it up the second time took less than 5 minutes. I wish the folding and packing up process was easier and is the reason for the 4 star review.
Fantastic tent. Got it for camping in the Andes on the way to the Valley of Tears. I needed a lightweight, compact 3-4 season tent that could stand up to windy conditions, and this tent was it. We got rain, we got wind - the tent withstood it all. Really easy to set up and take down, comfortable and roomy for one person and the gear (could theoretically fit two people, but it would be snug). I will be using it for solo camping in the future.
Update sent it back and asked for a replacement (which was delayed twice but understandable with all that's going on), After which I found the seller info and emailed asking what it came with, to which they said the tent and carry case and poles. So when I got it I expected at least the correct color. It's not a bright green it's an army green. And I got stakes with this one. Still going to return. Because the seller is confused just as i am. I had high hopes despite the mixed reviews. I should have listened. I opened the box expected a NEW item and instead immediately noticed used poles, rips, dirt even seen the color is not what is shown in the picture and No stakes to hold in place that would be easy fix but after all the other issues and knowing the process of returning. The picture shows a bright ish green what I received is more army green. Also no instructions. But as I started opening it more I seen dirt and became just over it. My kids and I were going to set this up to get the gist for camping next weekend and I just want to return it. Can't use for my daughter's play yard like the intention cause rips would allow bugs and critters. And couldn't use for food cause same issue. Was looking for email to customer service to get a replacement for the company but not able to find. I just received and it was early delivery. Nice of that. Now I can find something else that hopefully suits my needs. 😓
Used this on a 10 day trip through New England. For the price you can't beat not beat the quality. We had zero issues with anything. It rained a lot and no leaks. We did spray it with scotch guard as well. Zippers were all good. A tin of room inside for two people. Super easy to put up and take down.
I bought this tent because it was the only thing that I could find to fit over the back galley of my teardrop camper. After reading some of the online reviews I was worried that it just would not hold up at all, but it was the only thing that I could find that was light weight, small pack size, and reasonably priced. Others said that it ripped and poles broke the first time out. It's not a real sturdy tent but it has worked good for me without any damage from moderate winds for two months now. As I said I needed something for my teardrop camper and this was the only thing in its size (9x11'). I cut an "H" slit in one of the narrow ends of the tent screen and then slipped it over the tongue of my camper and back to the front side of the finders and then set up as normal covering the galley hatch of my camper and giving me a nice size area to use the galley and to sit in. If I had to do it all over again, I'd buy the same tent.
I don’t do a lot of reviews, but this pop up tent was perfect for our trip to secluded beaches in Puerto Rico. Cost is absolutely incomparable to the competition. I was not willing to drop $200 like others, but this price point was enough to risk and I’m glad we took a chance. Size is perfect and it was able to fit in my carryon (we moved included spikes into checked bag for safety). Setup was super easy, especially after doing it the first time. By the end of the trip we could put it up and take it down in minutes. Material is stretchy and works really well, even in high winds. San bags are sturdy and it comes with a beach scoop/shovel to fill them. This is an unpaid, uncompensated review. Seriously made our vacation 10x better, allowing us to explore some remote locations.
I tested it out today and very impressed. instructions attached inside nice carry bag, and tent was very easy to set up quickly. inside I layed out my airmatt to see how much room I would have, and it's very spacy for one. (My matt: Overmont Extra 4.7in Thickness Sleeping Pad 27.5in Width) When putting polls in I figured out you want to start with the one going across the middle then the 2 crossing across the back! I can't wait to take it out to my up coming camp out!
