This a very rooming tent for its weight. Especially, head room. I looked for flaws in the stitching. The stitching is good. And it passes the “Easy to assemble” test. That’s where I attempt to put something together without reading the instructions. Took me about 10 min to assemble. Assembly is 3 poles. Including the canopy. Insert them in the proper location and up it goes. Next time will be quicker since I’ve assembled it once. The tent itself is made of light weight but sturdy material. The floor is made of thicker waterproof tarp-like material. This tent will get a lot of use. And it all fits back in the bag. A very good value.

(Update 2019-09-29, for the 1p tent. 2p review is below the line...) Though I fully appreciated the 2p tent, as noted below, I found myself rolling around in it with too much space for one person. I had to wait almost a year for the 1p to become available, but oh am I glad I have it now! This tent is nearly PERFECT. It’s just exactly the right size, beautifully made, and I get happy every time I look at it. I had bought a different 1p tent, but it was just a tad short and narrow. This tent gives me just enough room to each side, and is long enough that I can fit my 65L backpack above my head and still have room to sleep. It’s beautifully appointed. The entry zipper works great and never jams, the rainfly is adequately ventilated if set up properly. It sets up in no time at all. The pockets at the corners are much appreciated. And it was very thoughtful to put a small zippered opening on the non entry side to get at those things like your boots you might want to stash under the rainfly on the non-entry side. Love, love, love it! If there just one thing I could ask for, it would be a zipper on the non-entry side of the rainfly so that it can be opened and rolled up like the entry side, and maybe a full entry on both sides. But even as-is it’s as perfect as I ever could expect. P.S. Check out the view I woke up to after a nice bug-free nap with the rain fly removed at the end of the trail my first day. :) ======= 2p review from earlier ========== I love this tent. I liked it from the first time I set it up but waited until I got it into the field to write this. First, it’s super easy to set up even with one person. Just lay out the footprint and the tent, extend the poles and put the ends into the eyelets at the corners of the footprint and tent. You don’t have to string the poles through anything because the tent easily clips to the poles! Just put the second end of the pole into the opposite corner eyelet, then fasten a clip or two and the tent starts to take shape. Work your way around, fastening the remainder of the clips and viola! Insta-tent. The rain-fly goes over the top and simply ties onto the poles from underneath. Seriously, this tent can be set up in under 5 minutes easily. The floor to ceiling mesh is great IMO. Sure, without the rain fly there’s no privacy, but you can lay in the tent and feel almost as if you’re outside but without the bugs. I especially appreciated this on my first trip as it was hot, there were no neighbors, and the bugs were atrocious. There was no chance of rain, so slept under the moon and awoke looking up at the trees swaying in the breeze above me. The interior of the tent is roomy. I’m just shy of 6’ and there was plenty of room at the head and foot. It would have been spacious even for two. The mesh pockets are super handy. The zippers work great and don’t get constantly stuck in covering flaps like every other tent I’ve seen. If you do have the rain fly on it’s really easy to unhook the flaps from the steaks and easily roll them up and hold them with the thoughtful tie-outs. The only caution is it all seems a bit delicate. That all mesh construction just feels like it could fail under abuse. But, with taking my time and taking caution to carefully stake things down I believe it’s going to last a long time. I did have a problem with one of the tie-outs on the rain fly tearing. Be sure to put the stakes in before attaching the tie-out so as to not over-stress the seam. Hyke and Byke customer service provided a warranty replacement within a few days. I think the tear was just a fluke as everything else is ship-shape. And the excellent customer service more than made up for this little issue. All that to say ... treat it as a light-weight piece of backpacking gear and not a military pup-tent and everything will be fine. (BTW, the weigh-out difference for this tent + sleeping pad vs. that of a hammock, straps, tarp, bug-net, underquilt, etc. is negligible. I know, I have weighed them both.)

Bag had holes on it as soon as I opened the box. Easy to to put and take down. Would give it 5 stars if bag came without holes and if there was an option to take screen off.

Our 3 sons wanted a “fort” in the toy room for reading, relaxing, playing their tablets, & of course overnight sleepovers. I’ve purchased countless different teepees & hated each one of them for different reasons- too small, tip over easily (my boys are wild), cheap quality etc. So when I saw this 6 person tent for under $100 with great reviews, I figured I’d give it a shot. Took it out of the package & had it assembled within 5 minutes. Super easy & nice quality. I ordered a 6x9 grey shag rug to make it a comfy area for them to lay & play and it fit perfectly. They absolutely LOVE their new “fort” & have been relaxing in there all day. Very happy with my purchase. It’s exactly what I had hoped for! I can’t speak to how well it will hold up outside, because we obviously are not using it for that at this time, but it seems well made & sturdy. Oh & did I mention that it’s SUPER lightweight & comes in a very compact carrying bag?! Perfect for camping trips where you have 50 million other things to carry. Don’t hesitate, just buy it! I’m extremely picky & read thousands of reviews before ordering anything, so trust me when I say it won’t disappoint.

I almost returned this because I used my electric air mattress pump and I couldn’t quite get it to inflate completely. I tried and tried and it just wouldn’t inflate all the way or even stand up. I was pretty disappointed actually and thought it was broken, BUT I had my boyfriend take one final look before I returned it and he filled it about half way up with the electric pump and then switched to the pump that came with the tent and that did the job perfectly! I was actually surprised that the foot pump worked better than my electric pump! It was then very strong and sturdy. Seems really well made and beautiful! Super easy to put up (with the foot pump), but might take two people. There are two holes to fill. Make sure to have one hole shut completely while filling the other! Very easy to take down and folds in the bag provided. It’s not super big, two people could sleep very comfortably, maybe three, but I can stand up no problem and I’m 5’9, and there would still be space for gear. My dog likes it too. (Pic)

Was really excited to use this tent but it arrived damaged, theres a hole right in the bottom of it. Spending $650+ dollars on a tent, I expect it to come hole free. Just genuinely bummed about this. Customer service was phenomenal and they made it right, fully recommended the seller. Tested the tent out in -20f conditions and it performed well with minimal condensation. Easy to assemble and take down.

Bought this tent for 21 day Grand Canyon rafting trip- it performed well. Easy to put up, low weight and space (when packed)-- although probably not ideal for ultra lightweight backpacking. 2 person tent was perfectly sized for me (1 person), would be super cozy and no gear storage with 2 people. Used with rain fly in colder temps and without when it got warmer. Knocking off one star for cheap, poorly designed stakes- you can use them for the first trip or two but some of mine broke and all will likely need replacing.

I was able to put the tent up by myself, it was harder for me to take down by myself and put it back into the bag although everything did fit in the bag. My son went camping with it and was able to put it up and take it down by himself. He didn’t put it back in the bag that it came with though. I asked him if it leaked, he had placed a mat (I’m not sure what he means by a mat) under the tent and it did rain he said he did have a little bit of water, mostly the mat was wet. So I’m not sure if it needs a footprint or not. He thinks it would stay dry in the rain.

I recently went on a cold weather camp and hiking trip with my boys. Weather was rainy and in the low 30s (F). The sidewalls allowed us a place to congregate and play cards, cook food and just warm up without having to crawl into tents. We put a small heater in there and it made a great environment. We even took off a few walls at times to still have a view of the nature we were in. The walls go on and off very easy and definitely were a game changer for this event. They also store easy in the provided bags and fit into the clams big carry case when it is put away. Very good investment if you own a clam shelter!

Super easy to set up, and super quick. One of the many reasons I purchased this was the quick set up and take down. Plus the size, this fits a queen size air mattress with room to spare. Recently used on a 4 wheeling trip with my GSD, it was perfect. I do like the fact that I can stand up to get dressed, I'm 6'4' so that was definitely an upgrade from some other smaller tents. Only complaint is it should come with a weather proof bag, as the tent is large and takes up a lot of room in a vehicle (Jeep) There is an option to purchase a weather proof bag.. which I did do for the next trip.

During a one week stay at the beach the poles performed well. The assembly was quick, and the poles were sturdy. I lost one of my original aluminum poles and these stainless steel poles are a 3-4" taller, have feet to keep from sinking into the sand, and are even more sturdy than the original ones. For next year's beach trip I might splurge and get another pair of these poles and convert my "lean-to" shelter to more of a tent type shelter with additional heighht/clearance in the back.

Fairly spacious 2-person tent, not of highest quality, but great customer service I am an avid hiker, camper, and wilderness backpacker and regularly organize camping events for as many as 45 participants. Tents I have purchased in the past were made by Sierra Designs, Big Agnes, MSR, REI, Columbia, and less expensive ones like Coleman, depending on the purpose of the trip. For backpacking, weight is a concern as my pack can get as heavy as 75 lbs for extended trips, and as such I own a Big Agnes one designed specifically for the backcountry. However, they are also very expensive at $300+, and can be offputting for casual trekkers. I was asked to recommend a cheaper one (less than $100) for a couple, and so I set out to try this Moon Lence one. PROS - Quite spacious capacity for a 2-person tent - Two entrances on each end - Quick to set up - Lightweight enough at 5.2 lbs for backpacking, though my $450 Big Agnes tent is only 3 lbs - Fairly compact (18" x 6" x 6" packed, 87" x 55" x 47" set up) - Mesh pocket to store items off the ground - Hooks to keep open the doors - Ceiling hook to hang a lantern/fan from - Solid rainfly - Great color scheme (I purchased the Orange one) - Great ventilation in the upper parts, but lacking at the floor level - Door zippers were easy to open/close - Instructions provided in the carry case CONS - Material is not as good as the $300+ tents - Ventilation is non-existent on the floor level - There was a tear in one of the mesh windows, and upon contacting customer service, they sent me a replacement within a few days. They handled the issue quickly and nicely - Footprint not included (most tents don't). If you get one, be sure it is not larger than the tent itself so water won't pool up - Instructions provided in the carry case shows Step 3 for a tent that is different than the one received TIPS - Keep the footprint smaller than the size of the tent to keep the rain water from pooling - Ensure the tent is not twisted where the stakes are. A twisted area can help rain water enter the tent Overall, the tent is small and light enough to take backpacking for 2 people. It is surprisingly spacious, and although the material does not compare to my Big Agnes that costs over 4x more, I expect it to hold up well enough for casual trekking. Customer service was great at taking care of the torn mesh with a quick replacement.

This tent was super easy to put together and could be easily put up by one person. It was a great place for our kiddos to get out of the sun at the beach and for the smallest one to nap. I love that it has "windows" for air flow and a "patio" area that doubles as a way to completely enclose the tent for privacy if needed. Unfortunately, somewhere between our first use and second, one of the poles got splintered and now it sits a little lopsided but I believe it can be fixed with duct tape. It folds down very small and is portable.

I set this up by myself in 5 minutes. It was so easy. Perfect for me to read my book at the ocean. I gave it 4 stars but bread of 5 because the bag ripped. I had taken everything out of the bag to look at it. When I was putting it back in, the bag ripped. Bag is very cheap, not like the bags the folding chairs come in.

It's easy to assemble and unfold. It comfortably fit two adults. The material is light and thin but sturdy enough. Used it only once, but I'm hoping it'll last. The rear and sides have screened windows that can be closed when there's to much ☀️ Highly recommend bringing accessories with the tent for added comfort. Overall, a good investment for hot and sunny days at the beach.
