I bought this tent for traveling and beach usage and enjoyed it more than expected. Perfect shade tent with zip up windows and “door” so you can store your belongings safely if you walk away for a few. The only gripe I had is that it doesn’t have toggles to tie back the windows when you open them like a normal tent. It’s not a big deal but would have been a nice feature. Super easy to put together and stays “tied” down well with the sand bags attached.

I looked at this tent for a long time before buying it on sale. I LOVE this tent for winter camping. It stays so much warmer than my 3 season tent. It’s a breeze to set up alone. Seems very durable. Fairly light. Inside height is just right. Perfectly waterproof so far.

Pretty upset the pole only lasted about 5 nights total. Not even sure you can get replacements.

Very tall an spacious. It has plenty of room for 4 and some backpacks. It would be a tight fit for 6 adults to sleep in though. Not very strong in the wind (anything over 15mph can collapse or cave in one side). But still worth it in my opinion since you have so many storage pouches, a ceiling net to let dishes dry on, and an overhang to sit beneath on the beach. We found that the tent is better suited to place with lower humidity as the tent didn't vent very well naturally on one of the 3 nights we slept in it. We just peeled back some of the rainfly to allow air to pass through. There was a small pin hole in the tub pan, but that can be sealed easily enough. Would recommend for a relaxing spacious adventure for 2-4 people. The tent kit is 20lbs, so keep that in mind when hiking and never hike with more than 50lbs or you will eventually cause yourself some injury if hiking for any distance over 4 miles.

If you appreciate moonlight, snowfall, escaping mosquitos and feeling open but staying clean. The tent for someone who wants to see the wildlife, bore, Bigfoot or Bambi walk around you at night. For the price well made, suggest going over seams with greenhouse tape, rubber mats 1st layer, cheap carpet for tent floor. Big rocking chair and small table fit perfect. We live off the CT river so I especially would like to dose off at night and relax without the Ferrell cats and racoons cuddling up without me knowing. I will use sandbags for floor perimeter and use electric heat & electric blanket when temperature drops into freezing, ...flannel PJs, loose cotton hoodie with grampa bathrob and good slippers doing just fine at 36° at the moment 10/24. Old man has some peace on the deck for winter nights ✌️ Thank you whatcampingtent.com Cheers

  • I recently took the Shibumi Shade Mini on a week-long trip to Cocoa Beach, Florida, and it absolutely transformed my beach experience. The Shibumi Shade Mini is impressively compact and lightweight. It packs down easily into a small, manageable size, which made it a breeze to fit into my suitcase and easy to carry to when I got to the beach. Despite its compact size, the Shibumi Shade Mini provides ample coverage. Setting up the Shibumi Shade Mini was incredibly straightforward. Within minutes, I had it up and ready to go, thanks to its intuitive design. Flying it was a simple process, and it held up well in the breeze throughout the day.

At 18” around, it doesn’t really fit in any of my packs, but it’s not too obtrusive strapped to the outside. It’s not heavy, so it doesn’t flip around annoyingly, and it doesn’t matter if it gets wet. I’m a big guy, 6’1” and 300lbs. I wouldn’t call it roomy, but I didn’t feel stuffed into it either. You gotta learn to get in and out fast if the bugs are thick. It kept everything off me for four days in the BWCA.

These stakes are the perfect length at 16” for making sure that your tent, tarp, or other will stay in place. I have used these in 40+ mph winds and my tent never moved. I use them for winter camping and summer camping with a 4 x 4 meter tarp and a Snowtrekker 8 x 11 foot tent. They are a bit heavy, so not ideal for backpacking. But if your car camping, winter camping, canoe camping, or other, they won’t let you down.

  • This 6x6 screen pop up tent is perfect for my front porch in the woods . Easy to put up and take down. Do be careful as the description points out… this thing does have a little quick action pop up when first taking it out of the bag, sort of quickly springs up with a little force however if you unpack it slowly and hold it there are no issues . Appears well made however wouldn’t use on the slightest of windy days especially if not tying it down because it is very light weight. Only one zipper on one side for in and out . Overall we love it !! Keeps the bugs out !!!

I was looking for a tent that could fit myself, husband and our two dogs comfortably. This tent worked out perfectly. We fit a queen size are mattress, a large dog bed, a small side table, a duffle bag and a small back pack and still had room to move around. I love how much of this tent is mesh. You can stargaze out the top and the side windows are perfect height for watching the campfire. Putting up the tent was easy for my husband and I — Could be a bit more challenging for one person but totally doable. We rigged hooks on our platform to easily attach the leads to so we will have an even easier set up each time we use it now. All items on the listing were in the bag. We did not set up the canvas fly. I wanted to leave the roof open to see the stairs-unfortunatly we did get some unexpected rain. The tent itself is made of typical tent material and not waterproof. I will update my review when we test out the canopy in the rain. Only thing I can say contradictory to the listing is that I would consider this tent 3 season- I can't see using it in the winter unless you live somewhere with very mild winters. We have used this tent twice so far and enjoy it's design and functionality. We were also able to fit everything back into the provided tent bag which I was happy about. Glad I took a chance on this tent with limited reviews and wanted to write this review to help you decide as well. Happy Camping!

Just took it out for a surf fishing trip yesterday. Popped up and performed excellent with plenty of room for gear, snacks and shade when the sun starts blazing. I usually bring a pop-up tent but this product folds up much smaller, about the size of a medium pizza. Really enjoy the bright tree frog green color too :)

  • I recently used the Shibumi Shade Classic during a fantastic week at Cocoa Beach, Florida. We will never go to the beach without a Shibumi again! The Shibumi Shade Classic stands out with its larger, yet still manageable, design. It fits comfortably in my car or packed in my luggage and is easy to transport from the parking lot to the sand, making beach setup a breeze. One of the standout features of the Classic model is its impressive coverage. It provides generous shade, ensuring you stay cool and protected all day. The setup process was seamless—thanks to its user-friendly design, I had it up and ready in no time. A notable upgrade in the Classic model is the new Quiet Canopy. This significantly reduces flapping in the wind, which made for a quieter, more relaxing beach experience. The shade stayed stable and noise-free, even on breezy days, enhancing my relaxation. Overall, the Shibumi Shade Classic delivers exceptional performance with its easy setup, ample coverage, and the added benefit of a quieter canopy. It’s a fantastic choice for anyone seeking comfort and a touch of luxury at the beach. Highly recommended!

If anyone needs a laugh tonight, just imagine the chaos of opening a large outdoor pop up tent inside without measuring first or reading directions 🤣 no injuries and nothing was damaged, but that thing went to full size in about 3 seconds like a jack in the box with a grudge to avenge. At one point I was pretty much pinned to a wall and had to cirque de Solei my way to freedom.... Instructions were very clear (once I read them after the tornado) and everything is sturdy as heck! Came with everything needed to set up- plus extra bags to fill and weigh down the edges of you're using it outdoors as intended. I bought this for work and it's holding up to the wear and tear wonderfully! I groom dogs from home and needed a way to keep the hair contained in one space. This has stood up to water and flying fuzz like a champ! I've already ordered a second one for camping and picnics because if it can hold up thru dogs, bugs don't stand a chance! The mesh is fine enough that it's almost solid, but breathable enough that I'm not choking or getting to hot whilst grooming. Super easy to clean as well.

I put this up behind a shed that we converted to a business’ office, for an outdoor portable potty shelter. I did not get a “pop up” because I knew those would be too flimsy in the wind. So I got this, tie down type of tent with separate fiberglass poles. It took two ( experienced campers) about 15-20 minutes to set up . Not easy! Hated the three metal prongs at each base corner. Need to connect four poles to form a square at bottom / base of tent. Very poor design, does not hold “square” in place. The middle prong is supposed to aim upwards for insertion of the four vertical poles that go up the 4 sides of the tent. , The zipper is poor quality, or it was sewn in incorrectly. The zipper catches the nylon tent material EVERY TIME, I zip and I unzip it! Other than those issues, the privacy shelter is plenty big and tall enough to use as a bathroom as well as a changing room. It has two vent windows on each side. I am planning on keeping this up until it snows . It’s tie downs are very basic, simple, cheap metal with a curve in the top. A package of “tie down cords” was found in a plastic bag as a tangled, knotted mess of orange string. ( I still haven’t been able to untie the knotted mess.!) Hope it doesn’t blow away before I rig up my own heavy duty, spikes with better quality- parachute cord. Despite the issues, I would still recommend this shelter, as a very good privacy tent, much better/ sturdier than a pop-up! Otherwise, I really like my new tent “outhouse”. Hope this helps you make a decision! Linda

It came in a cute neat packaging that fit everything inside. It’s a good size, not too bulky so it’s easy to carry around. The cloth that came with it is such a great quality - it was a nice soft fabric (not a cheap flappy plastic fabric that most of these shades come with). I set it up in my backyard for the kids to play with and they loved it! We pretended “picnic” time and can’t wait to take it out to the beach! I got help to set it up first time but I think I can do it alone next time! Highly recommend
