I needed a fairly easy to set up smaller tent for a bicycling trip 2 of us go on every year. Our previous tent finally started to leak to the point it wasn't salvageable. This one appealed to me because we are able to fully stand up in it while getting in our bicycling gear for the day. Pros: -We could stand up fully in the tent to get ready, even a 6' 2" person. -It fit our sleeping pads, sleeping bags, and a few bags of gear without a problem. -The air vent at the floor actually provided a nice breeze through the tent. -It stood up to 20+ mph winds when other tents were blowing over... after we properly secured the ran fly and guy lines. -I was able to set it up myself alone, until I got to the rain fly. I needed a little help with that, but I imagine if I were taller I may have been able to do that myself. -The tent is very easy to fit back into the tent bag, even when everything is all wet, and you're packing up in a hurry. And the long handles on the tent bag make it easy to throw over a shoulder and carry. Cons: -It will NOT stand up to any wind without the rain fly and guy lines properly staked. It was blowing over in 6 mph winds. I enjoy camping in a tent with the rain fly off when I'm mostly certain it will be a clear night. And my kids love backyard camping occasionally and stargazing while in their tent. This is not the tent for that. -Could not remove the rainfly to let the built up heat out of the tent without risking it being blown over. -It seems to have a slightly smaller footprint than my last 4 person tent. -The door is awful. -The side pockets could be slightly larger. Overall, it meets our needs for our yearly couple nights bicycling trip. We have a larger family tent for actual camping trips that I greatly prefer. I wouldn't want to camp in this tent for longer than a couple nights, mostly because of the necessity of the rain fly at all times, but for an easy up and down and the convenience of being able to stand up in it, it's fine.

I have this large shelter to take to the beach next month. To check it out, I put it together in my living room and it is big and fabulous. I put it together by myself and the only trouble I had was that it was almost too large for the room and the poles wanted to poke out the windows. There are 2 poles and they are the same so you don't have to worry about getting them confused. Lay out the tent material first and notice that the large screen is the back of the tent and the strap is going between the 2 front corners. Straighten out a pole and put it through a sleeve in the tent. Notice there are 2 joints that are bent, while the rest are straight. You want one bent joint on either side of the sleeve. Straighten out the other pole and put it through the other sleeve. The poles will cross each other on the sides of the tent so remember the ends of the pole in the front sleeve will be attaching to the back corners and the ends of the pole in the back sleeve will be attaching to the front corners. Pick one end and find the corner it goes to. Put the pin in that corner into the end of the pole. Go to the other end and make sure to keep the pole centered in the sleeve while bending the pole to get the end to its corner and then put that pin in the end of the pole. I don't think it matters which pole you do first and the second pole was easier for me, perhaps because the tent was starting to take shape. Once the ends of the poles are in place, it should look like your tent. Finish up by clicking the clips onto the poles and tying the poles together where they cross. In my living room, I was done. Outside, you might want to put the stakes in dirt or fill the bags with sand for the corners to help hold it in place if it is windy.

  • I absolutely love this tent! It is very well thought out, and I can use it with my car or set it up as a freestanding tent that I can stand up in. I have a cargo box on the back and the opening is large enough that I can slip the tent over the cargo box and have the box inside the tent as a table. It has lots of straps to attach it to my car and very sturdy Elastic around the skirt that fits over the back of the car. It is fairly easy to set up, but don’t expect to get much detailed instruction from the Chinese created pictograph instructions. I have chosen to set it up without staking it down and then sliding it up around my cargo carrier in the back of my car. If I drive away, I slide it off the cargo carrier and the car before moving my car, which could be a little problematic if you have a lot of things inside the tent. It is fairly waterproof, but the screen window on the back side leaks around the zipper. Probably some seam seal will fix that as it does have some protection where the zipper is that doesn’t seem to work very well. I have had a similar tent and they all seem to collect water at the bottom of the skirt where it runs off the car and into the skirt, but the floor of the tent stayed dry, except for the dripping zipper. It is definitely the best option and a good value for the price.

Quick and easy to assemble ease of taking down but practice before you go to the beach. It's great for two unless you get a bigger one

Living in Florida it is extremely necessary to have a good form of sun protection when it comes to long beach days. I am the type of person that likes to spontaneously go to the beach and so I have this in my trunk at all times. It takes up a lot less space than you would imagine and it is so incredibly easy to assemble. It comes with four sandbags to place in the back attachable "wall" and then the rest of the four corners have built in pockets to place the sand in. I will say it is a bit difficult to get the sand out of the pockets as it seems to get a bit stuck in there but realistically, going to the beach, you will get leftover sand in some places. I think that this is a great investment and great to have. I would recommend this to anyone in comparison to a regular beach umbrella which does not cover nearly as much as this one does. This photo was taken around 8 am so the sun was not as strong and was not above us yet, however, come 12pm we were so happy to have this.

Definitely enough room for 2 adults and 2 children. Or even 4 adilts( just to sleep in. Was fairly easy to set up, had a first time camper set it up, they struggled but got it done and now is a pro. Love the cross breeze you get from the window flaps across from each other , and the fact you can stand it is a big plus . Kids were running and playing “like kids “ and it stood up well to the test !

Just what I wanted: a light enough but storm worthy shelter that will fit my large dog and I. Its not a traditional tent but I've heavily used a smaller similar bimid thats two faults this has accounted for already. Its appreciably bigger and line tie outs for bad weather. On digital scale with everything 2.25 lbs. For context my rab element 2 is 2.10 lbs but is much smaller and uses less stakes. My rei half dome 2 all in is about 6 pounds. My rei ASL 2 is all in around 7.5 pounds. If you can stake it out , bring a gound cloth and aren't afraid of spiders etc its great. If pitched properly the ridge line will have no issues shedding rain/snow. Size wise a true 2 person 'tent'. Could bring wife and 85 pound german Shepard, not a third person. I can sit up comfortably in the front 6ft 250lbs. The color ordered is closer to olive green almost more brown than green. Much happier than the medium light green some stock images show. I recommend this product with a ground sheet and a few extra stakes. With good anchoring I've survived storms in worse shelters.

  • Bought this tent for styled fall mini photo sessions for my clients. It was absolutely perfect! Not too difficult to set up. We were able to fit a full sized air mattress (as shown in the photos). You can easily fit a second full air mattress on the other side. I would definitely use this again to go camping.

This is my review of LCGAOYA 10PCS Camping Tent Stakes Heavy Duty,8 Inch Screw in Tent Stakes. I ordered this product for my wife who moves the mobile chicken coop around the yard. As part of that process the fence needs to be moved as well as the grazer. She was using a sledgehammer to pound the steaks. Now it is much easier for her with the help of these steaks and a cordless drill. The drill screws the steaks in effortlessly and removes them just as easily. You will need a drill powerful enough. A 12-volt drill did not have enough power, so she used a 24-volt cordless drill that did a great job. I believe you will be fine with an 18-volt or higher cordless drill. One note is to screw the steaks in slowly as too much speed will just cause the bolts to spin. The steaks look to be made from 3/8-inch lag screws. They are durable but we had one bend, not sure how, but it was easy to bend back and has been fine ever since. She likes the case because it keeps everything together. The other included items such as a rope and hook were not needed. These steaks have been a great help and function as expected, so I will rate them 4 stars.

This was my first tent and it was amazing! I knew it was going to rain and it held through a a couple huge Colorado thunderstorms in one weekend. I bought a tarp to run underneath and everything stayed dried! Pictured is one of the storms coming in and the small pooling of water after. I even had to go in and out and couple times during the rain and water did not get in unless I accidentally hit the little rain cover right about the entrance. The ONlY issue is the zippers do get caught in the little fabric basically every time you open and close the door. That could maybe be altered with some fabric tape but for the price, this tent was a life saver! I bought the 3 person size and it fit a twin sized air mattress perfectly with some extra space for bags and snacks. I highly recommend!

I bought this so I wouldn’t have to worry about the fit underneath my Core 9 person instant tent. It is definitely a nice quality footprint and fits perfectly under my tent. It is a lot better than your average tarp and I think worth the money so as I didn’t have to search for a tarp with the same dimensions. I roll it up and it fits right nicely in the duffel bag that comes with the tent.

I bought the tent (which we have aptly named our “Big Blue Loo” as a porta-a-potty for camping. It’s opaque and sturdy and easy to assemble. It has a window (not screened) that is great for venting. To make our commode, I used a five-gallon bucket, a pool noodle (slit on one side) as the seat, and lined it with a bunch of plastic kitchen trash bags. We threw a scoop of clumping, scented kitty litter on top after using, and then threw away the bag when finished. ) Putting the tent away was another story... I laughingly wrestled with it for an hour before I finally broke down and watched several YouTube videos on how to do it before I was able to fold it up. But now, it’s super easy to fold. I highly recommend you get your own “Big Blue Loo”!

Light tent that it is easy to set up. I appreciate the aluminum poles and the vents on the rainfly especially. It packs down pretty small, and has straps on the outside of the bag, so it will be easy to bring along no matter where you are going. The two doors and large amount of mesh makes it versatile and breathable. However, there are some issues. The rainfly design is pretty awkward, you have to remove it from a stake just to open the door. The tent is pretty noisy too, it is a little bit like sleeping inside of a bag of chips. Every slight movement or breeze is going to bring a crinkling sound. As for durability, I can only speculate. The sleeves for the tent poles are made of mesh, so a pole could catch in one of the holes and rip the sleeve. The polyester itself is thin, but it has a high thread count and is waterproof coated. So I am not too worried about rips, but I am concerned about punctures. The tent does include a patch kit. The mesh walls feel strong and do not catch easily. Even though the seams are taped on the backside, I am concerned water may soak through after a few rainstorms, especially around the rainfly vent where the seams face up. Generally, I think it will hold up well, but that the tent will probably require some repairs after a medium amount of use. Overall this is a nice tent, I trust that it will hold up and be a cozy, dry space throughout many summer adventures. I am looking forward to trying it out on some trips soon.

This came in such a small box. I was thinking this is not the item but I guess it’s really compact. I haven’t used it yet on the beach, but I opened it up. It’s a really good product. The material is not super heavy duty so don’t expect that. I didn’t expect that for the price but I think for what I paid it’s really worth it. It’s nice and just perfect for the beach easy to put down and roll up. I love that you can roll it up and make a compact to carry. I was written the instructions and it looks pretty straightforward and easy to put together. I definitely would update this when I use it at the beach. Overall, though I think it’s a good item because something like this will cost a lot more so this is gonna just be great just for that a few times that I do go to the beach.
