bought then returned…, it kept me warm, the dislike as in the rest, leaking. When I saw the zipper seam, I knew it was gonna leak. The rain got so heavy…it sunk the top of the tent in (no photo). But my dog liked it, until the rain got in and soaked up his bed. Good concept, just need better material. Not worth it, not for the price.

The stitching and quality of this tarp is terrible! Stitches right up to the edge of the fabric. No seam sealing, you could see daylight through the needle holes. After laying out the fabric and inspecting it i was afraid it would fall apart trying of I tried to put it up! The one good thing I will say is the steel poles looked very sturdy. That's the reason for 1 star.

The is a great combo of privacy tent and portable toilet. Came very nicely packaged and beyond easy to set up. We used for tailgating so if you arent planning on being near a grassy area you can weigh it down with this little tip. Fill 4 little planters with cement and place in the middle a circular hook screw. You can then have it weighed down in any parking lot. Breaking down of this product does take a little practice but if you follow the instructions it can easily break down and fit into the nice travel bag that is provided. Very good value and a must have for camping or tailgating.

I'm sure it's cool, but the poles were splintered and broke out that bag. I got fiberglass in my hand just opening the bag.

Broke on the second day of vacation in 5mph winds. I don't know if there's a manufacturer defect but extremely disappointed

I don’t do reviews, but I had to with this tent.. I purchased the 10x10 tent and had it Shipped to Mississippi out in the country to my friends home for a upcoming BLUES FESTIVAL for a weekend event in the evening 5-11pm out in a cow pasture.. I’m a city girl and I know that the mosquitoes down south don’t PLAY!!! When I say it kept out everything. I had a 10x10 camper rug for ground cover. Not a bug, ant are crickets got it. The only down side of this tent is that it doesn’t work for 6 people.. the descriptions states that he will accommodate 4-6 people. Disclosures it accommodates 2-3 comfortable, 4 ok/ 5people you pushing it, 6 you voting someone off the island, which we did 😂 .. I would recommend 4 people for comfort… I will be purchasing the 15x15 soon..

This 3rd generation Stingray is definitely worth the additional cost over the 2nd generation. I originally ordered a 2nd gen and after seeing it up, found minor damage. Since planning the order, the 3rd gen became available and I ordered it after returning the 2nd gen. While I'm not a huge guy (6', 200#) the larger trap door makes a huge difference in getting into and out of the tent. The added cargo nets under each corner of the tent is also a great upgrade, allowing you to stow more fear out of the elements & of the ground, while not needing to clutter the interior of the tent. Lastly, is the addition of 2 more entryways to the tent. They are convenient, especially while the rainfly is of off. However, this was not much of a selling point for me, as I plan to have the tent about 7' from the ground and will be using a ladder to get in, via the center hatch. I set up my originally purchased from gen 2 tent at a friend's house to someone it before the 1 month timeframe for whatcampingtent.com exchanges (and found minor damage). So, when setting up & inspecting this 3rd generation, it was my second time setting up a Stingray and I did so on a set of trees that I knew to work well for this purpose. It took me less than 15 minutes to set it up alone, having the straps at about 7' (the highest I could easily reach without a step stool or ladder). The rainfly too me another 5-10 minutes. I probably should have put the flu on before raising the tent up to its tensioned higher, as it was hard to put on alone at such a large height. I will add that the 3rd generation fly required a little more attention to ensure you have it properly oriented. The seams on top should align with the poles. Once done properly, this 3rd generation Stingray does a much better job keeping the fly from coming into contact with the tent mesh (versus the 2nd generation that I had set up). The only issue that I had with the fly is that, even with the adjustment straps all the way out, connecting the 3rd side into the ratchet handle was extremely difficult. It seemed a little to short. I'm hoping it was just me missing something. I'll have a better idea soon, when I do another "dry run" setup. Unfortunately, I won't have a chance for any reason world feedback on the Stingray until my spring camping trip. I'll do an update after that.

These things are great. I've always hated driving tent stakes with a hammer. These easily cut the setup time in half. I use a 3/8" battery powered impact driver to zip these stake in and out of the hard packed ground.

It was relatively easy to put up (took a little under 7 minutes first time) and was definitely light weight for carrying. My biggest issue is that it did not give as much shade as we'd like/expect for the beach. You have to put it "into the wind" which is not always best for maximum shade and on this day the wind was sustained ~20mph. It did hold up well all things considered and was pretty quick to take down and pack away.

This isn't a hiking tent. It's too bulky for that. It's also not the sturdiest tent you'll ever encounter. It's not expensive enough for that. But it's great fun for kids! Setup is as easy as they make it seem in the listing. Take it out of the bag, unclick the strap and let it go. You'll need to add the rain fly and poles if there is rain expected. It also includes stakes and guidelines. Once you've added the stakes, guidelines, and poles you have a reasonably sturdy tent. Taking it down is basically as easy as setting it up. It folds up like every other pop-up I've dealt with, meaning it's a folding process that never makes any sense and takes three tries the first time or any time you haven't done it recently. But it's not difficult and the instructions are printed on the carrying bag. Setup, including rain fly, poles, and guidelines takes about 5 minutes. Same for takedown. More importantly, my boys love it! They're 5 and 7 and love the idea that they now have their own tent. I don't take them camping when bad weather is expected and I don't take them when it's supposed to be really cold, so I don't need the best tent money can buy. It's plenty roomy inside for two young kids with air mattresses and sleeping bags. Like every tent, you'll be in for a very tight squeeze if you try to fit the number of people the tent is supposed to hold. Follow the old rule, for every two people a tent claims to hold that means one person with gear. What I wanted from this tent is easy setup and takedown and this is definitely easy! I'm really happy with this tent!

I am pretty happy with the tent so far. Went on a 6 day trip with 4 different campsites and no issues at all. Had to set up camp in the dark a couple of times with no issues and was very easy to set up. I did use the Alps footprint and would just roll the tent up with the footprint and it still easily fit in the bag. I did use different stakes (msr groundhog) as I think those are the best stakes I have found. As always, if you need to fit x amount of people, always buy x+1 tent.

This was set up on a transit connect 2014. It is a bit confusing to set up but only because this it is a product designed for a variaty of vehicles - the set uo is not set in stone. We set it up at home for that same reason - to practice before going camping. Now that we did it once it should be a breeze to do it again. I used an old bungee cord that had hooks on the ends. Cut the bungee in half and used it to attach to my rims. This way i didnt need to thread that plastic buckle through the rims which seemed difficult. You can set it up with two poles or one in the center. For the price this seemed to provide more cover and versatility than one of those pull out roofs/awnings that you can have attached to the side of your car. Even tho those give your car a cool overlander look, I still have to use my van for work. (The biggest game changer was adapting my roof rack to fit this cargo box i had. Now all I carry is on top and I have plenty of modest room to sleep). The tent/shade/roof folds nicely into a carry bag wich has plenty of space even if you dont fold it perfectly. The only thing i didnt like (but will modify) would be painting the steaks on some bright color as the green that came with keept getting lost in the grass. Will paint the top ends fluorescent. If you are looking for this type of set up, you have found it in this brand. I hope this review helps. Good luck.

It's a great one person tent, with enough space to fit a 176cm tall person. Lightweight and compact, unbeatable for the price. It is easy to set up, and has withstood severe wind and rain conditions. However, I wouldn't recommend it for winter use in snow.

It lasted 1 years and 8 months. It had full sun exposure for most of the day. The zipper still works. We're in the southeast US. Not bad for the $$
