Once opening the package and beginning assembly, we saw that the cord in one of the rod assembly was completely severed, which made it impossible to set up since it’s 1 of the 2 parts of the tent frame.
I’m not sure how it come completely cut in 2 pieces like that but I’m more surprised that it made it through quality control when the rods themselves would be separating without it.
I sent a message to the seller using the function on whatcampingtent.com simply asking for the part to be replaced almost a week ago, but I have yet to receive a reply. For almost 200 for a small tent, I’m pretty disappointed with the broken rod and the lack of response for a legitimate product issue. I’ll update this review based on what happens, but I’m tempering my expectations and will likely just file a complaint with whatcampingtent.com and ask for a refund within the next few days.

This is my savory design. It’s my second one. First one burned up bc it was too close to the bon fire. Love the double doors, heavy duty zipper, light weight rods, porch area for taking off shoes. Pockets on both sides. Super simple structure that is simple to set up. Best of all at night you can see through the roof as if it’s not even there, perfect for star gazing.

Did a trial setup inside and didn’t like it so I returned it. Ceiling is too low and side walls are not pre-bent to provide decent space while moving around. Overall it felt like they wasted a lot of possible space with the pole design and the entire tent takes up more footprint space than it needs due to the fly design. Returned and bought a Sierra Designs Meteor Lite 3 through moosejaw for 45% off list. Still cost me a lot more than this but I’m much happier with the tent, and that it’s light enough for backpacking. This tent would probably hold up well. It seems sturdy. But I just wasn’t a fan of the engineering on it.

This is a great tent!! The space to weight ratio is pretty good.
This 3 person tent is a good fit for two people plus gear. Descent head room and extra storage pocket to help keep gear organized and off the floor.
I highly recommend this tent for the budget backpacker needing a 3 person tent.
Excellent choice and easy to set up.
