The Big Agnes tent is hands-down one of the best outdoor gear investments I’ve made. It’s incredibly lightweight, easy to set up, and surprisingly spacious for its size. Even in heavy wind and rain, it held up like a champ and kept me dry and comfortable.

Started off great. No issues. Day 12 into my hike (keep in mind, 4 of those days have been in a hostel or a hotel due to injuries or having a day off) floor is already showing signs of tearing. When you spend nearly 400 for a tent plus MORE for a footprint to prevent this from happening is a no go for me. I have been extremely careful with my locations of sleeping, making sure all debris (roots and rocks) are free of my footprint and STILL a 3/4 inch rip in the floor of the tent, not my footprint. Would love to hear a response from the big agnus team

Like weight. No dislikes so far. Seems halfway rugged. I would say late spring to early fall. No snow.

Easy to set up. Lightweight. It’s perfect. Only thing I don’t like is the pocket over the door. When I enter the tent I knock everything out of it. This is a great one person tent with pack. It would be very tight for two people. I’d definitely buy again.

I have had the Big Agnes Fly Creek UL 2 for 7 seven years and it is a great tent. I wanted the UL1 tent to lessen my weight in my Backpack. I am looking forward to my up coming backpacking trip.

Dropped about 2 lbs by switching to this Big Agnes 2P tent, from a 3P Brooks Range tent. Plenty of room for me and my pack. 2 people would be snug, and if wanting 2P plus packs inside I’d bring the 3P. I’ve only used it for 2 nights so far. For the first, I put the fly on, but hard to use rocks instead of stakes in a few places, and didn’t fully stake out the fly. Some mild wind made it flap. The second day’s spot was a little bigger so I got the main stakes in, but skipped the fly, and slept a little better. The zipper worked fine for me. Set-up was easy. I would have preferred to not require the stakes, but skipping having a pole at your feet makes it lighter, and really it looked like it would be fine for one person without staking out the feet. I cut a ground cloth out of thin plastic (1-3 mil, it did fine even on granite), but will probably use an emergency blanket in the future. For the weight this tent made more sense to me than dealing with a pup tarp/tent type solution, especially for the sierras where finding a big enough patch of dirt to also put in stakes can sometimes be a problem.

I got this in an attempt to find a light weight solution for ground camping. Like many others, I own several tents. My go to for most backpacking or camping trips is my hammock tent from Warbonnet Outdoors, the gold standard. But when you have no trees, like desert camping, my new passion, you are screwed. I have looked at UL Dyneema Composite Fabric (Cuban Fiber) tents that use trek poles, etc., but decided to try this and was not disappointed. This tent is so light I almost laughed setting it up the first time…it felt like a marshmallow. It is plenty strong, well built and easy to set up. I purchased a piece of Tyvek for a ground tarp, which fits in the tent bag with the other components and it weighs about 3lbs. If you are a weight weeny, this may be too heavy for you, but I am 53 yo, 5’7″ tall and will laugh at you if you balk about this being too heavy as a through hike solution for the PCT. I am old, fat and out of shape and can still make 17 minute miles with 40 lbs. on me, so suck it up buttercup and get one of these if you are looking for a cry one time, quality, UL, self standing ground tent.
