This is a very good tarp for the price. Lightweight, durable. waterproof.
The only 2 issues I have with it is that the width is a little shorter than 6 foot, almost by 2 inches. But that’s my problem, I selected the size and I should have bought it larger.. While I didn’t get wet during a rain, I noticed wetness creeping in on the ground level lessening my dry ground underneath the tarp. Of course with a larger tarp I would have more dry ground with less creep of water on the ground. I was on level ground too. Next time I’ll set it lower to the ground, that may help. Also I’d rather have sewn in tabs vs grommets. Tabs seem to hold up longer in the long run. But I’ve not had any problems with the grommets as of yet.
Other than that I have used this tarp several times already and have stayed dry. I’ll continue using it as long as it lasts.

I was led to believe after reviewing some ultra-light sights that Equinox only sold the tabbed tarps, not grommet style. I should have paid more attention to the product description. I am not happy with what I ordered. The good news is it was cheap enough that I will likely just donate it to somebody else and order what I really want later.

Used this tarp in a very heavy downpour and it kept the tent dry. The seams around the edge filled with water and became heavy to pack out, but it was quiet and worked well.

These are great. I got one to cover my mattress when I’m not home as the dog kept doing what ever it is dogs do and ripping my bottom bed sheets. the 6×8 will barely cover a queen sized bed. I got some sheet holders to hold it in place. This thing is so slick the sheet holders I got have a hard time holding onto it. When used for what it’s intended for it would shed rain very well and provide shade. It’s very light weight a backpacker or other use where it’s necessary to travel light would include this in their pack. They are a little pricey but worth it. My crazy pit that puts his claws through everything has so far only put one very tiny hole in it probably when he’s getting after an itch and his paws are sliding on the tarp. I’m happy with it, probably buy the larger one next time worth the money if it’s made as well as this one. There is a seam in the tarp it’s not one piece of fabric but it’s double sewn and lapped should not leak or easily rip out.

Love this tarp–keeps the rain off, is a great size, and packs small. I wish it were a tad bit lighter. I got this because my son has one, and it has been durable for years on some pretty intense backpacking trips; it has held up in hail and heavy wind and rain. It has saved us on many a trip–a shelter when we get caught out. Also, it makes a great shelter for cooking in the rain. This is a top-quality product for a great price.

I thought this was silnylon when I purchased it. It’s not.

I love this tarp. It is very high quality, and in not like most tarp. It is not at all loud and crinkly like the old blue tarps my dad used to use.
I bought this to go along with my hammock just in case of rain. My last camping trip I ended up just laying this tarp on the ground near the campfire (but not too near the campfire) and using my mummy sleeping bag out underneath the Oklahoma stars. It was great, it kept all of the condensation from the ground off of me and my bag! It folds small enough that it and my sleeping bag fit in the sleeping bag compartment of my backpack.
I am looking forward to, and believe with the quality I will get many years of use out of this great tarp.

I haven’t gotten a chance to use it yet, but it feels strong, it is light, and time will tell if it’s waterproof.
