It’s solid, it makes ease of pulling those stakes out that went just a little to deep. Works perfect for and stacks.    Upon first look on whatcampingtent.com this thing has 5 STAR reviews I don’t know how or why it has such good reviews but the hammer head is so poorly made who knows if it will last long term but there’s so many pits they never even took the time to sand this thing out after they Forged the head is covered in pits. It’s a best a amateurish cast like they pulled it right out of the forge and stuck it on the handle and spray-painted it it’s a really cheap job and looks like crap doesn’t look like it’ll last very long I’m sending this one back…”made in China”

   Used for 2 outings now, to drive and pull large metal stakes for Kodiak 4 season tent. handle, balance, head shape work well for driving stakes. Hook, stake hole, and handle all work well for pulling stakes. Worked like a champ.
   For my situation it could be a tad heavier, but admittedly I have the extreme camp tent. For your average outdoor store 3 season tent this will be more than enough robustness.

   What can I say, its a hammer. But not just any hammer, a camping hammer. You will feel like Thor when wielding this thing. It works, it hits hard and drives stakes into the ground.

    I like it because it’s really good for nailing in tent spikes into dirt or trees. Has a wrist loop and good grip. The hook on the end is handy for all sorts of stuff like dragging things or tearing something open. For example I hooked it into a bundle of wood and dragged it behind me rather than carrying it.
