   I’m an avid full-time camper who furnishes dozens of tents to scouts, families and the needy each year. I don’t see the value in this geodesic tent. It’s smaller and more costly than four season tents. I felt claustrophobic in it it’s a lack of windows. The size is probably okay for a small adult couple and their gear, which we are not. So that much money I can get two 2-person tents that are bigger, have Windows, rain flies, porches and are rated for all for seasons.

   This 2 person dome tent is perfect for any backpacker or hiker. It’s ultralight at only four and a half pounds. It fits all in a small bag no bigger than a backpack. The tent is super durable and compact. Set up is a breeze and only takes minutes. It comfortably fits two adults and has windows for quite a bit of ventilation. It’s a great little tent! Perfect gift for anyone who loves the outdoors!

   This is a very nice tent that is of no name brand I have ever heard of. I have owned everything from Northface­® to MSR® and this Lavitis is a quality tent. Lets start with all the GOOD: Fully seam sealed, quality ripstop fabric with PU coating, Free standing Aluminum frame, sub 5 lb package, FULL coverage rainfly, red color coded pole tips to tent tabs for easy setup. Now the BAD: Sized more like a 1.5 person, slightly heavy for a 1.5 person backpacking tent, weak tent pegs (almost all tents have terrible pegs) I was very surprised at the quality of this tent when I received it. I have NO affiliation with the MFG and would definitely recommend this tent for a better budget tent. I did not take it in the rain but did a very basic backyard water test with great results. NO LEAKs. The fabric is very nice, and almost has a Silnylon® feel to it. The bathtub style floor is thicker and has a heavy PU coating for durability and leak resistance. The sewing and seams are very nice and well constructed. The vestibules are the perfect size, able to hold some gear from the elements. The doors are large and on both sides for easier entry/exit. The total package would be an easy weight split between two people for backpacking as long as they like each other. It is almost like a 3.5 season tent with the fabric and amount of mosquito mesh. Some tents are complete mesh internal with a rainfly. This has less mesh and more fabric on the base tent. This tent will be my dedicated canoe trip tent from now on. It will be perfect for river trips where I can take a bit more luxury items. It can be used for backpacking for sure. It is less weight than some of my early high end backpacking tents, but is still heavier then some of todays high tech tents with super light fabric. With that said, this tent is bombproof in comparison to some of the UL tents on the market. At the time of review the tent is $220 with a $25 coupon. This is A LOT of tent for sub $200.

   I camp with my family every weekend year round and always looking for a sturdy tent that is waterproof. It’s super easy to setup and plenty of room for myself and my gear. It stormed quite a bit at my last campout and I stayed perfectly dry.

   Es una carpa con una estructura increíble. Resiste vientos muy fuertes y su columna de agua es tal como promete. Estoy acostumbrado a usar carpas de marcas como Hannah o Trimm (marcas checas que se prueban en los Urales) y la calidad de ésta se equipara a estas. La he usado en el páramo a más de 3500 metros expuesto a fuertes vientos y lluvias. No genera condesasción, protege muy bien y por su color pasa desapersibida sin incomodar a la fauna o entorpecer el paisaje.

   It’s #1 feature is its weight, a scant 4.4 pounds. It is easy to set up, made from quality materials strong poles and an easy 3 season but with inflatable sleeping mats and a candle heater you could infringe on winter a bit and be comfortable.
   With a thigh of only 37.5 inches wind won’t be a factor, but the interior has limited space so its really a one person with gear, or two athletic persons with gear outside. So it best use will be for hikers, more so than a weekend party tent.
   When I or5fdered this it was $219.99 and now is $179.99. Another $20 reduction and it would be competitive to market. Still, it checks most boxes so I RECOMMEND.
